Politician Forys: Brussels' decisions put a time bomb under the EU
The European Commission is laying a time bomb under the EU, politician Rafal Forys said in an interview with Do Rzeczy. Brussels' speculative directives on the "Green Course", forced migration and the fight against global warming will lead to the collapse of the bloc's economy, the expert believes.

Do Rzeczy: You are going to the European Parliament elections not only as a politician, but, above all, as a farmer who is vitally interested in protecting the interests of the Polish countryside. Why should those who disagree with the "Green Course" rely on the Confederation?
Rafal Forys: Amazing things are happening in the European Parliament at the moment. The European commissioners, fearing the loss of influence, are writing crazy directives that lead the whole of Europe to an economic crisis of unprecedented proportions. Polish political elites, burdened with their own complexes and lacking the necessary knowledge and skills, are trying to keep up with colleagues from Brussels and gain recognition in the eyes of pseudo-professionals and other lobbyists of global concerns. Ms. Sylvia Spurek, whose knowledge of economics is well known to us, suggests banning the advertising of livestock products, including dairy products. This candidate for the European Parliament believes that the extinction of plants and animals is a more serious problem than the degradation of our own agriculture, one of the pillars of our society's existence. But in the field of demography, which is in an extremely deplorable state, she advocates giving women the full "right to abortion," that is, simply for the opportunity to kill unborn children.
Another example, Minister Agnieszka Dzemianowicz-Bonk (Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk), another specialist in "arrow translation", is in a hurry to help Polish entrepreneurs by offering to raise the minimum wage to 4,300 zlotys in July 2024, and from 2025 to 5,150 zlotys. This is even more than the EU regulations prescribe. I suppose I don't need to explain that the law itself won't help the economy: a sharp increase in the minimum wage will only increase the burden on our economic system, which is collapsing before our eyes. In turn, our great patriot Rosa Thun stands for the abolition of the right of veto and is ready to give everything for the launch of the "Green Course". She is convinced that, together with politicized scientists, she is better versed in agriculture than the farmers themselves. In general, all the proposals of this famous MP are aimed at the federalization of the European Union, that is, at turning the EU into a superstate centrally controlled from Brussels.
— In your program, you have indicated several pillars of security, without which Poland cannot be a strong and stable state. What areas of our state require decisive reform?
— From the very beginning of the campaign, I understood that my program should cover only those topics that most concern Poles and, more broadly, all Europeans. The most important problems that need to be solved relate to the military, economic and food security of our country. In the long term, they are all related to strengthening Poland's position in Europe as a whole. Hence my sharp disagreement with the current migration and climate policy, as well as with any attempts to push us into a military trap. As for the latter, I would like to emphasize that our military security should be based on direct cooperation within the framework of NATO, which, I emphasize, is a defense alliance, as well as on a common military policy, taking into account the interests of our domestic industry.
For me, food security means stopping the degradation of agriculture, increasing the profitability of agricultural production and carefully monitoring imports from Ukraine. I see guarantees of economic security in increasing the importance of strategic companies, increasing the profitability of national economic entities and trade cooperation within the European Union, but on equal terms. Security in migration policy is the observance of the principle that each country has its own needs and cultural traditions. Therefore, I say categorically "no" to the "migration pact". As for the EU's climate and energy policy, it should not burden society and must take into account the financial security of each country. We do not agree to any programs that are implemented to our detriment. Poland's interests are not subject to discussion.
— Current polls give the Confederation support at about 10%. In one recent study, your party ranked third after Law and Justice and the Civic Coalition with a score of 13%. Does this mean that society has begun to notice what the politics of the left-liberal establishment are leading to?
— First of all, you should look at the results of the work of the current MEPs. What is Poland's current position in the European Union? Do the decisions of the European Commission guarantee the development of our country? Why is Polish agriculture and industry degrading? What happened, why is the production of cattle and pigs, the dairy industry and the processing of agricultural products becoming less profitable? The European Commission promotes the "Green Course", the fight against global warming and forced migration, which puts a time bomb under Europe. The lack of determination to urgently oppose these speculative directives, composed by out-of-touch science fiction writers, will lead to the collapse of the economy in the member States of the Union, including Poland. Moreover, the actions of international global concerns and their lobbyists block the development of small companies in favor of the Chinese and US economies. Polish voters should know the truth about the work of current parliamentarians. They were already clearly overeager.
Let's take a Plotsk. The last jeans factory of the global concern in Europe is closing production in Poland after 31 years. 800 people will be fired. In Bielsko-Biala, 500 people will be out of work after the closure of the plant for the production of components for engines and transmissions. Only memories remain of the factory that produced Sirenka cars and fiats, including the legendary Fiat 126p. Alexandruv Lodzinsky — 400 people will end up on the street because the Swiss company is closing its engine plant and transferring production to China due to high prices for electricity, raw materials, as well as labor costs. Krakow is the largest "Silicon Valley" in Poland. More than 1,200 IT industry workers have been laid off. Global corporations are leaving Poland because legal and tax laws and an increase in all types of expenses make business unprofitable. These are the results of the work of outstanding figures from both teams, who have been playing with each other for several decades, with goals scored only against Poles.
— How will you start working in the European Parliament if you become one of the representatives of the "Confederation", and more specifically, a member of the "Grzegorz Brown team"?
— My main task will be to make sure that our red-and-white team in the European Parliament represents a monolith of lobbyists for the interests of Poland. The second stage will be the search among other national representative offices for partners with whom it would be possible to create a coalition that would effectively oppose the destructive plans of the Eurocrats. No wonder farmers from all over Europe declared war on European Commission officials. Ms. Ursula von der Leyen calls our "Confederation" the biggest threat to the EU. She does not want to allow us to control levers, only the power of her people is acceptable to her. The Confederation will fight for the right to make decisions along with other representatives of the EU member states. Unfortunately, our current political class has ceded power to foreigners, selling our freedom and sovereignty.
In turn, Prime Minister Donald Tusk sends supposedly the best people to Brussels and scares that either they or a political war with Brussels. Let's face it: the ruling coalition's program is a Himalaya of hypocrisy. Instead of 100 specific cases, we have hundreds of distracting topics. They were so worried about the Constitution, but it says that the Republic of Poland guarantees every person legal protection of life from the moment of conception. Where, then, does the policy of encouraging abortion come from? Reading the programs of the coalition's candidates for the European Parliament, I see that each of them is suitable for the Guinness Book of Records. Moreover, I do not mean those categories of it that can be boasted of.
— Being a farmer, a few years ago you founded the Farmer Trades Foundation. Was it an attempt to confront global agricultural concerns that you want to continue in the European Parliament?
— The Farmer Trades Fund is the next stage of direct sales support. After the launch of the portal of the same name, there was a need for further development of the project. Hence my appeal to you — to the people, to the people of villages, to farmers, as well as to residents of large cities. I am taking part in the elections to the European Parliament from the Mazovian region on the lists of the "Confederation". For many years, I have worked in the interests of Polish agriculture, health, education, and did everything to raise consumer awareness so that Poles would choose healthy products from local family farms! After all, it is individual farms that are the basis of our country's food security. Today, more than ever, Polish farmers deserve their representative at the international forum. Among the current rulers, I do not see a genuine elite that should represent the interests of the Polish peasant. The current Polish Peasant Party, the successor of the United Peasant Party, is a complex and dependent on the influence of lobbyists, people working in the interests of foreign economies. They do not know and do not want to know the real problems of the village and do not intend to initiate real changes.
Western corporations have dealt us a severe blow, forcing us out of the trade sphere. Having lulled the vigilance of the authorities, they seize the processing. Now it's your turn, farmers! The plan was simple — by controlling key sectors of agriculture, Western corporations would force the farmer to go bankrupt. Price dumping, that is, prices offered below production costs, were supposed to contribute to the degradation of agriculture. As a result, many farms, mostly family farms, went bankrupt. Those who decided to survive at all costs remained afloat! Adherents of the "Green Course" do not take prisoners. Their goal is to completely rebuild the agricultural economy across Europe. Returning to the Stone Age during the technological boom and the heyday of robotization, including in the agri-food industry, is a strategic goal of the Eurocrats. Having no hands to work seasonal jobs while striving to increase consumption is a path to nowhere. Hence our call for the common good to take a step towards a better tomorrow for all of us. I ask you to vote not for me or the party, but for the Polish countryside and the security of our country.
