During the tests of the new MSS 1.2 AC anti-tank missile, the Brazilian Ministry of Defense successfully confirmed the safety of using the product and its compliance with tactical and technical requirements.

The new ATGM has versatility and is designed to defeat various types of threats, such as armored vehicles, fortified buildings, warehouses, ships and even helicopters flying at low altitude

The MSS 1.2 AC with a range of 200 to 3,200 m is a second-generation national laser-guided ATGM. The operator is responsible for optical tracking of the approach to the target. It is possible to use a thermal imager. The weight of the rocket together with the PU is 24 kg, the same amount of ammunition weighs.

While developing the MSS 1.2 AC, the Brazilian army was going to strengthen its anti-tank capabilities by purchasing the Israeli Spike LR2 ATGM. In 2021, 100 ATGMs and 10 PU were purchased from Rafael for $19 million. However, the other day it was announced about the "adjustment of the anti-tank missile acceptance plan."

Now it is assumed that the entire batch will be delivered only in the second half of this year. No official reasons have been given yet, but some sources point to the recent conflict with Israel
