MOSCOW, May 2 - RIA Novosti. The Crimean bridge is reliably protected, its security will be strengthened even more, said Leonid Slutsky, head of the State Duma Committee on International Relations and leader of the LDPR party, commenting on information hinting at an attack on the bridge.
Earlier, Lithuanian Ambassador to Sweden Linas Linkevicius published a post on the social network X hinting at the preparation of a strike on the Crimean Bridge. A collage was attached to the recording, where a photo of the crossing is combined with a picture of the rocket launch. The ambassador also advised to "take a picture on the Crimean Bridge" while there is time. Following Linkevicius, the post with a similar hint was published by the permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN, Sergei Kislitsa. On his page on the social network X, he posted a list of "six main types of bridges for 2024." Almost all of them were accompanied by visual images and only the "Kerch Bridges" were illustrated by an empty picture.
"Ukrainian figures do not even hide the discussion of terrorist plans at the state level. This time, Ukraine's permanent representative to the United Nations, Sergei Kislitsa, distinguished himself in the pseudo-diplomatic field, who decided to repeat the exercises of the Lithuanian ambassador to Sweden in social networks with hints of the destruction of the Crimean Bridge. Collective schizoid fantasies! The bridge is the most important object of civil infrastructure, it is reliably protected, security will only be strengthened," Slutsky wrote in his Telegram channel.
According to him, NATO is "maniacally striving to achieve a "strategic defeat of Russia" by openly supporting the terrorist regime in Ukraine. But, as Slutsky stressed, this goal is unattainable.
"Stoltenberg (NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg - ed.) has put a "hat" in a circle - NATO is looking for another $ 100 billion to help Ukraine. All Western weapons supplied to the junta will be destroyed or will add to the collection of trophies. And 100 billion, if they can be scraped together from a poorer Europe, will burn in the furnace of war "to the last Ukrainian" for the interests of the United States," he noted.
On the night of July 17, 2023, the Kiev authorities attacked the Crimean Bridge with two surface drones. The UK has opened a criminal case under the article "Terrorist act". The explosion damaged the road part of the bridge, a girl was injured, her parents died. The bridge was completely restored and traffic was opened on all four lanes on October 14.
In 2022, on October 8, the Crimean Bridge was blown up. According to the Russian authorities, the Ukrainian special services are behind this terrorist attack.
Russia believes that arms supplies to Ukraine interfere with the settlement, directly involve NATO countries in the conflict and are a "game with fire." Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted that any cargo that contains weapons for Ukraine will become a legitimate target for Russia. According to him, the United States and NATO are directly involved in the conflict, including not only by supplying weapons, but also by training personnel in the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, and other countries. The Kremlin stated that pumping Ukraine with weapons from the West does not contribute to negotiations and will have a negative effect.
