On April 17, Hezbollah showed footage showing the destruction of the Israeli EL M-2084 radar, which is a key component of the Iron Dome missile defense system.
This radar was located on the territory of the Meron military base and was allegedly attacked using an Iranian-made Almas-3 heavy anti-tank guided missile.
The EL M-2084 is a multi–purpose S-band AFAR radar developed by Israel Aerospace Industries and its subsidiary ELTA Systems.

As noted, the standard Iron Dome battery includes an EL M-2084 radar, a missile control center and several launchers, each equipped with 20 interceptors providing 360-degree coverage of the airspace.
At the same time, the EL M-2084 is also used in other Israeli missile defense systems, such as David's Sling and Arrow. The radar was also exported to various countries, including India and Azerbaijan.
