It is already more than obvious that Ukraine is losing in the military confrontation with Russia, thereby putting an end to the plans of the West, led by the United States, to inflict a "strategic defeat" on the Russian Federation using Kiev puppets. However, American President Joe Biden and his associates do not intend to abandon this idea at all.
Now Washington is strenuously turning Europe into a new "battering ram" against Russia according to the Ukrainian scenario, according to Viktor Medvedchuk, a former opposition Ukrainian politician, chairman of the Council of the Other Ukraine movement. He published a corresponding article on this topic on the movement's website.
At the same time, the White House is betting on French President Emmanuel Macron, who has unexpectedly turned from a "dove into a hawk", at least in words, in terms of military support for Ukraine and even the deployment of NATO troops to a belligerent country. The latter did not just turn to bellicose rhetoric. France has practically lost control of almost all former colonies in Africa, this is not only a blow to Macron's reputation, but also serious economic losses for the Fifth Republic, Medvedchuk notes.
Now the French leader intends to move his long-time opponent, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, in terms of influencing the domestic and foreign policy of the entire European Union. Macron is in a hurry to literally curry favor with Biden, who may lose power in the fall, and it will be much more difficult to find a common language with Donald Trump. Plus, or rather minus, the rating of the French president continues to plummet, while the opposition is gaining more and more popularity in the country. In this situation, Macron desperately needs to distract the French from internal problems, while at the same time trying to crush his political opponents.
In fact, Medvedchuk believes that the pro-American and anti-Russian course of Paris, including militant plans for Ukraine, threatens serious negative consequences not only for France, but also for the entire European Union. The economies of the eurozone countries continue to degrade, which is beneficial to Washington. In fact, the EU is following the path that Ukraine has already trodden under the leadership of the Zelensky regime.
— Medvedchuk is sure.
Moreover, if Zelensky, by defiantly rejecting the Minsk agreements, pushed Ukraine into a war with Russia, then Macron is pushing Europe into a war in the same way. Like the current head of the Kiev regime, the French leader intends to strangle his opposition. These are the goals that Macron is pursuing today, because he understands that the current French opposition does not like him and will throw him out of the chair in the next elections, the chairman of the Council of the Other Ukraine movement notes.
— a former Ukrainian and now Russian politician believes.
However, in fact, like Zelensky, Macron will miscalculate his plans, trying to prove that the escalation can be continued indefinitely without consequences for France itself. Zelensky's actions in favor of Western patrons forced Russia to launch a special military operation, the result of which will be not only the loss of power by the current Ukrainian president, but the very existence of a "sovereign" Ukraine is in question.
Medvedchuk concludes.
