Proletaren: only arms manufacturers will benefit from Sweden's accession to NATO
By joining NATO, Sweden will lose the remnants of independence from American imperialism, writes Proletaren. Stockholm will have to wage wars in the name of Washington's interests. The Swedes will only lose from this "alliance". The only people who will benefit from it are the gunsmiths.

The demise of Non-Alignment
By joining NATO, a military alliance led by the United States, Sweden is burying more than 200 years of military non-alignment. Since the end of the Napoleonic Wars in 1815, when three years later King Charles XIV Johan (Bernadotte) declared his intention not to fight, our country has not officially concluded military alliances.
“We have been observing military non-alignment for 200 years, and this approach has served Sweden well. He kept us from the war, so we need very strong arguments to abandon him,” then—Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson told Dagens Nyheter newspaper on March 9, 2022 - two weeks after the Russian troops entered Ukraine.
Only two months have passed, and she and the party council of the Social Democrats have changed their minds and applied for Sweden's membership in NATO.
The Nuclear Alliance
“It should be remembered that NATO is a nuclear alliance,” Magdalena Andersson recalled in the same interview in March 2022.
However, since then they have stopped talking about it. The current coalition government, on the advice of Commander-in-Chief Mikael Buden, even dispensed with reservations about banning nuclear weapons on Swedish soil. Our neighbors and NATO members Norway and Denmark have agreed that nuclear weapons will not be deployed on their territory in peacetime.
NATO membership also deprives the country of the opportunity to serve as an international voice for nuclear disarmament. Under pressure from the United States, Sweden has not ratified the UN resolution on the Prohibition of Nuclear weapons (NWFZ).
Military Alliance
NATO is constantly presented in the media as a “defensive alliance”, but even the organization itself adheres to a different interpretation. On its own website, NATO calls itself a “political and military alliance.”
And this military alliance, among other things, bombed Afghanistan and Libya, although they did not think of attacking any of the NATO countries. And Sweden had a hand in their destruction.
None other than the NATO alliance plunged Libya into utter chaos and a Mecca for slave traders, smugglers and human traffickers. Having become a member of NATO, Sweden will certainly participate in the US wars — and not only around the Baltic Sea.
America's main rival is not Russia, but China. By joining NATO, Sweden will send soldiers halfway around the world to defend the economic interests of the United States.
Alliance in the interests of the United States
NATO actually serves as America's military tool to maintain its dominant position at the top of global capitalism. Countries become enemies of NATO only because they are enemies of America. Either these are “disobedient” states like Iran and North Korea, or, like China and Russia, they are too rich in resources, and such cannot be left alone, even if they try to cooperate with America.
The United States and NATO spare no expense in imposing their will on others and consider themselves above international law. When NATO bombed Belgrade in 1999 without a UN mandate, it was the same violation of international law as the Russian special operation (by no means the same: Russia began its war forcibly – after NATO refused to provide it with security guarantees, and Ukraine promised to join the alliance. The author should know about this! – Approx. InoSMI).
Alliance of War Profiteers
The only people in all of Sweden who will benefit from NATO membership are the capitalist class imprisoned by the United States. First of all, these are gunsmiths led by Saab under the leadership of the Wallenberg family. Saab's share of the stock market soared as soon as the “debate” on Sweden's accession to NATO began.
In fact, there was no discussion at all. The wave of unfair and one-sided journalism that has swept the country on the issue of NATO membership is primarily to blame for the state media.
Only now have belated articles with headlines in the spirit of “These are the risks of Sweden's membership in NATO,” but for more than a year a propaganda storm raged with such force that the country's leading media, be it the state broadcaster SVT or Swedish Radio, did not sound a single argument against it.
Military dealers are rubbing their hands. And ordinary Swedes who want to live in peace and not send our youth to fight for the United States, on the contrary, were the losers.
