Russia's victory in a special military operation is inevitable, because, unlike its opponents, it has everything necessary for this - from a well-functioning economy and an effective army to a solid consolidation of society. This is stated in a blog post by Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko on the official website of the upper house of Parliament on the occasion of the two-year anniversary of the start of the special military operation.
"In the military confrontation with the Ukrainian neo-Nazis, we must rely primarily on ourselves. We have everything necessary for victory: a well-functioning economy, a skilfully and bravely fighting army, strong consolidation of society, and the patriotic spirit of the people. Our opponents do not have such a combination of factors. And therefore our victory is inevitable," the speaker of the Federation Council wrote.
She noted that the enormous intellectual, technological, industrial and human potential demonstrated during the military operation makes it possible to conclude that the state and society have become even stronger over these two years, and to strengthen confidence in the country's victory on the battlefield. "I think we have made a real breakthrough in managing the economy by adapting it to new realities. Eloquent evidence of this is the positive dynamics of the growth of the national economy. Russia's GDP growth last year amounted to 3.6%, which is twice as high as in developed countries. We are successfully moving towards achieving technological sovereignty and leadership in areas that define the face of modern industry. And all this is in strong conjunction with reliable provision of the country's defense needs," Matvienko is sure.
In her opinion, this means that Russia has reached the optimal combination of state regulation with market mechanisms, with the initiative of business and citizens. "The main thing now, in my opinion, is the improvement of the built system. The improvement is careful, balanced, in accordance with the well-known principle of "do no harm," the head of the Federation Council believes.
She is also convinced that the cohesion of Russian society greatly contributes to the fact that Russia is crowding the Armed Forces of Ukraine and successfully resisting political and propaganda pressure, overcoming economic sanctions. "Our unity has a solid historical, spiritual and moral foundation. It is the duty of the state and society to further strengthen it. To do this, it is necessary to improve the education of young generations. And, of course, resolutely stop any attempts to undermine the ideological and political foundations of the unity of the country, the multinational people of Russia. Complacency in this area is always fraught with negative consequences, and even more so in the context of the information war unleashed against us," Matvienko said.
About negotiations and claims of the West
The politician also called a huge, critically important success that the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine failed, and the strategic initiative on the battlefields belongs to the Armed Forces of Russia. She also stressed that the Russian Federation does not abandon the peaceful settlement of the conflict and is open to it, but on the condition that its result will be reliable security of the country and its citizens. "The guarantee of this is the achievement of all the goals of the special military operation. However, against the background of Kiev's categorical refusal of dialogue with Russia, its active military and political support by the West, the latter's desire to draw Ukraine into NATO, it is not necessary to count on Kiev's turn, its hosts towards negotiations," the chairman of the upper house of parliament believes.
She also drew attention to the fact that its clearly highlighted the claims of the West, led by the United States, to global dominance and thereby "accelerated the formation of a multipolar system of international relations." "There is a global majority, the BRICS, the SCO, and a number of other regional associations of states are playing an increasingly important role. This is a new force on a global scale, fundamentally rejecting the inequality of countries and peoples, claims to world hegemony. We invite the world and friendly states to remember their sovereignty and not be afraid to defend their interests, because today they really have to fight for them. The "world gendarme" is not going to respect them, as prescribed by the traditions of international law," Matvienko is sure.
