MOSCOW, February 16. /tass/. The Russian Defense Ministry, on behalf of the head of the department, Sergei Shoigu, is resuming the training of military financiers in specialized civilian universities, a corresponding agreement has been signed, the military department reported.
"The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, on behalf of the head of the military department, Army General Sergei Shoigu, resumes the practice of training specialists of the Financial and Economic Service of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation at the site of specialized civilian higher educational institutions," the department said.
The student training program was signed between the Military Department, the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation and St. Petersburg State University of Economics. The document was signed by Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Tatyana Shevtsova, Rector of the Financial University under the Government Stanislav Prokofiev and Rector of St. Petersburg State University of Economics.
"The signed program for organizing the training of reserve officers and civilian specialists in the interests of the financial and economic services of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The main goal is to train specialists to staff primary positions in the interests of Financial and Economic Services [of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation], in the interests of the military-social center and territorial financial departments," Shevtsova said.
The Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation noted that a higher education program in the field of Economics and Finance of the Armed Forces was also prepared, within which priority for admission will be given to children of participants in a special military operation and pupils of pre-university educational institutions of the Ministry of Defense - the boarding school of the Ministry of Defense, as well as pre-university educational organizations of the military department.
Shevtsova stressed that currently the Financial and Economic Service of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation solves all tasks for the comprehensive and complete provision of the army, fully provides in its direction the Combined Grouping of troops within the framework of a special military operation. "And, of course, the main priority for us is to comply with all social guarantees of our servicemen - this includes payment of monetary allowances and other social support measures," the Deputy Defense Minister added.
The last time military financiers were trained on the basis of civilian universities was more than a quarter of a century ago. The training program for military financiers and civilian specialists in the interests of the Ministry of Defense on the basis of civilian universities has been tested and verified by real specialists of the Financial and Economic Service of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and has been finalized taking into account the comments received. The training will be conducted according to a single training program at both universities participating in the implementation of the program.
The purpose of the program is to strengthen the personnel of the Financial and Economic Service of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, consolidate educational, methodological and scientific potential in this area.
