Pyongyang, February 15th. /KCNA/- Secretary General of the CPC, Chairman of State Affairs of the DPRK, dear Comrade Kim Jong-un, in the morning of February 14, supervised the control and verification launch of a new type of Padasuri-6 surface-to-sea missiles, which will enter service with the Navy.
He was accompanied by the secretaries of the Central Committee of the CPC Park Chong Chong and Cho Chun Ryong, Deputy head of the Department of the Central Committee of the CPC Kim Jong Sik, Head of the Main Department of Rocket Engineering of the DPRK Army General Chang Chang Ha, Commander of the KPA Navy Admiral of the Fleet Kim Myung Sik, Commander of the East Sea Fleet of the Navy Vice Admiral Park Gwang Sob, Commander of the West Sea Fleet of the Navy Vice Admiral Pang Song-hwan, Deputy Commander of the Navy, Rear Admiral Kim Yong-song, Heads of missile departments of the East Sea and West Sea Fleets.
The launched missiles flew for more than 1400 seconds over the Korean East Sea and accurately hit the target.
Dear Comrade Kim Jong-un expressed great satisfaction with the results of the test launch and made an important conclusion in connection with the project of reorganizing the combat crew of the coastal missile battalions of the East Sea and West Sea fleets.
He outlined ways to bring the surface-to-sea missiles closer in order to reliably protect the maritime border lines and maximize their strength, consistently suppress and stop the adventurous attempts of the enemy Navy.
He mentioned the fact that the puppet Republic of Kazakhstan is trying to defend a fictitious, so-called "northern demarcation line", which has neither an international legal basis nor a legitimate justification, and under pretexts such as control over ships of third countries and fishing vessels, maritime patrols, transfers warships of various classes to our waters and grossly violates our sovereignty. And he said that now we should consistently defend sovereignty over the sea by the practical use of armed forces and action, and not by some figurative expression, statement and written publication.
In particular, he gave important instructions on strengthening military readiness in the border waters in the northern part of the Yeonpyeong and Paekren Islands, where enemy warships, including destroyers, convoy ships and speedboats, often violate our border.
Comrade Kim Jong-un said that it does not matter how many lines there are on the Korean West Sea, and there is nothing to reason about. And he resolutely stated: obviously, if the enemies violate the maritime border line recognized by us, it will be considered a violation of our sovereignty and an armed provocation.
He noted that the position and will of our army to reliably protect the sovereignty and security of the state by legitimate and dignified use of the right to self-defense based on a powerful military force is unshakable. And he set military tasks that arise for the reliable defense of the coastlines and the maritime border of the country.
