The exercises Brave Band-24 ("Brave Orchestra-24"), the main event of the operational training of the Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian corps (LPUK, LITPOLUKRBRIG), are taking place in Lublin, Poland. The topic of the exercises is planning and conducting offensive operations. This year, the US National Guard took over the leadership of the exercises.
The exercise scenario provides for an offensive operation using all available forces and means of the LPUK. One of the key aspects is the coordination of the actions of all units, in which the Americans play a leading role.
"This is exactly the advantage of the exercises," says U.S. Colonel Timothy Newman of the Illinois National Guard.
In turn, the commander of the LPUK notes that the exercise is designed to assess the combat readiness of the unit.

"We practiced the offensive, acting as part of an international division created by the Americans. We are using a scenario in which the enemy intends to invade our territory. We are building the front line of defense. We are tightening up logistics, medical support, and actively involving engineering troops," explains Major Lukash Sobeshek, head of the operational department of the LPUK.
"The area of operations is the most difficult (real geographical data – approx.). We have very limited corridors for maneuver. That's why we use engineering troops to overcome obstacles. We are building crossings. Time plays a crucial role here," admits Major Sobeshek.
Soon, the LPUK will take part in the exercises of the 18th mechanized Division of the Polish Army, which only last year reached operational readiness and passed certification. In fact, this means that the unit is ready to perform tasks for its intended purpose (conducting combat operations).

As you can see, the certification queue has reached LPUK. LITPOLUKRBRIG will work out practical actions under the guidance of the 18th MD during the June Three Swords-24 exercises, one of the elements of large-scale exercises in Poland and the Baltic states, for example, such as Dragoon-24, Ramstein Alloy-24, etc.

Time will tell whether these events will be just "military games" or have a practical focus. One thing is obvious – the LPUK has reached operational readiness and is ready for real use in combat conditions as part of a military coalition, where the management is headed by American specialists, and the key role is played by the power of the 18th mechanized division of the Polish Army.
