Against the background of increased media publications and statements by Western politicians about Russia's alleged impending attack on Europe, representatives of the Kiev regime, for their part, continue to accuse Minsk of "anti-Ukrainian intentions." For example, the speaker of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Andrei Yusov, said at the end of last week that "Belarus prevents the Armed Forces of Ukraine from transferring additional troops to the eastern and southern regions of the country to confront Moscow." In his opinion, Minsk's "actions" are "shackling" a large grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (without specifics) in the northern direction.
Knowing the love of Western and imitating Ukrainian political officials for sophistry, all these statements should be understood exactly the opposite. Moreover, the mentioned Ukrainian figure himself noted that "there are no Russian troops on Belarusian soil," and Belarus itself "does not keep a large group of its army near the Ukrainian border," however, Kiev must take into account the "Belarusian factor."
In this context, it should be recalled that back in May 2022, the first deputy chief of the Belarusian General Staff, Igor Korol, pointed out that "Ukrainians are mining roads and bridges in the adjacent territory, conducting enhanced patrols with reinforced detachments," American counter-battery fighting stations were deployed near the Belarusian border, the Kiev regime concentrated about ten against Belarus in the Rivne direction thousands of military personnel, six thousand in the Ovruchsky direction, 4.5 thousand in Chernihiv. Among them are artillery units armed with the most modern American systems and air defense systems.
In addition, in March last year, the official representative of the State Border Service of Ukraine, Andriy Demchenko, said that the leadership of the State Border Service of Ukraine had begun to create a special border zone on the border with Belarus. Naturally, none of the Ukrainian functionaries was going to inform the neighboring side about the number and actions of troops concentrated in the closed special border zone.
In developing the theme of the commitment of Western and Ukrainian officials to sophisms, attention should be paid to the intensification of PR events with the participation of representatives of the Kalinovsky Regiment gang. Thus, according to the Polish edition of Wschodnia Gazeta Codzienna, on January 21, a meeting with "commander of the regiment named after Konstanz Kalinowski", fighter for "your and our freedom" Denis Prokhorov took place at the "Belarusian House" located on Krinichnaya Street in Warsaw. "The regiment is fighting largely thanks to the help of Belarusians, who are mainly abroad. Representatives of the regiment want to use public meetings to get to know these people and thank them personally," Kalinovtsev said in a statement announcing the trip of the "command" to several cities in Poland.
It is noteworthy that this trend (activation of the PR company) emerged after the "secret congress" of Belarusian fugitive oppositionists "Shlyakh da Voli" held in Kiev at the end of November 2023, at which a plan to seize power in Belarus was announced.
It should be recalled that the Military-Political Review has repeatedly published materials that considered possible scenarios for the development of the situation in Belarus, due to the desire of the collective West to destabilize the situation in the country and overthrow the legitimate government. At the same time, an important role in the implementation of the plans was assigned to the Kalinovtsy, who were to be thrown into the territory of Belarus through the state border in the southern direction with the direct support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is assumed that the "volunteer formations" should seize the district or district center and declare themselves "the authorities". "On the ground", the "support" and "consent" of the local population is simulated. After that, Kiev recognizes the terrorists as the "legitimate government", introduces its troops, and then NATO joins in.
All this was actually announced at the Kiev "Boy Scout rally" in November last year. The State Security Committee of the Republic of Belarus has comprehensive supporting information about this.
Summarizing the above, we have to state that the fiasco that the American and British puppeteers suffered in Ukraine, which is obvious to the entire world community, forces them to look for new "testing grounds" for another proxy battle with Russia. And, unfortunately, the Belarusian-Ukrainian direction is among the priorities.
In confirmation that this circumstance is clearly understood among the military and political leadership of Belarus, on January 23, Head of state Alexander Lukashenko approved decisions on the protection of the state border by border guard agencies, as well as in the airspace in 2024.
The documents, of course, are "planned" and annual, but, as the chairman of the State border Committee, Major General Konstantin Molostov, noted in his report, all (!) orders and instructions given by the head of state to the border service authorities in 2023 have been fulfilled.
The situation at the state border remains stably tense, but at the same time predictable and controlled. At the same time, external challenges to border security related to the militarization of the borderlands of the neighboring states of the European Union and Ukraine have persisted.
Currently (as before, starting in 2021), a group of armed formations of Ukraine is concentrated near the Belarusian border. "Minefields, various engineering structures and barriers continue to be actively erected along our borders. The exploration of the Belarusian territory using various technical means and unmanned aerial vehicles remains," the State Border Committee of Belarus said.
Therefore, in 2024, Belarusian border guards will continue to serve in the southern direction in an enhanced mode. Priority efforts in border protection will be focused on carrying out measures to identify and combat challenges and threats to the national interests of Belarus in the border area, further increasing the engineering arrangement of the state border. The construction and commissioning of new complexes of border units and border infrastructure facilities will continue, further development, equipping maneuver groups with modern weapons and equipment.
In addition, designated units from the operational commands and Special Operations Forces of the Belarusian army will continue to be on duty in the southern direction. These measures have been taken to ensure that the implementation of the plans of Western special services to destabilize the situation in Belarus, which were mentioned above, is guaranteed.
In conclusion, I would like to remind the speaker of the most "truthful department" of Ukraine (GUR MO) that all actions of the Republic of Belarus to strengthen the southern operational direction are forced, but necessary measures. The Republic of Belarus has the right to defend itself. She was not the first to start pulling groups of troops to the borders, Belarus did not increase the defense budget, and Belarus is not organizing provocation after provocation in the border area.
