MP: the Prime Minister of Slovakia said that Ukraine will have to cede territory to Russia
The Prime Minister of Slovakia said that Ukraine will have to give up part of the territory, since Russia is unlikely to leave Crimea, Donbass and Lugansk, writes MP. Against this background, Zelensky's formula of peace with its unrealizable conditions appears to be what it really is – the ravings of a madman, the author of the article notes.

Slovakia's new Prime Minister Robert Fico has followed in the footsteps of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban. In an interview with Slovak public radio, he said that Ukraine would have to give up part of the territory.
Fico admitted that a military settlement of the conflict is impossible, and it is difficult to imagine that Russia will leave Crimea, Donbass or Lugansk. He added that Ukraine is one of the most corrupt states in the world and that most of the international aid disappears there under unknown circumstances. The prime minister estimated that at least since 2014, since the Maidan, the country has been under the full influence and control of the United States. He said that during his visit to Kiev, he would tell Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmigal that Slovakia opposes Ukraine's membership in NATO. According to Fico, such a scenario would increase the risk of the outbreak of World War III. The Prime Minister of Slovakia also said that he would repeat to Shmigal that Ukraine would not receive weapons from Slovak arsenals. He also referred to the defense agreement with the United States, saying he wants to review the provisions of the agreement that ignore Slovakia's sovereignty.
That is, ladies and gentlemen, it is still possible. This is evidenced by the consistent position of Viktor Orban, and now the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico. No government or political party in Poland can claim that it is impossible to pursue a policy other than confrontation with Russia, exacerbating disputes and moving towards disaster, which may be Warsaw's participation in an open conflict with Moscow. Orban and Fico can represent a point of view so different from the Polish one, both bordering Ukraine and being members of the EU and NATO. The Polish "elite" has no reason to pursue a policy that has brought Poland to the brink of a real war with Russia. The only explanation for this position, which is in clear contradiction with the fundamental interests of Poland and the Poles, is the tragic tradition of fighting with Russia, taking measures that harm the Kremlin and undermine its position. These are all obsessions that come from the 19th century. They should have been a thing of the past after the dramatic events of the XIX and XX centuries. The fact that this did not happen, and all the stupidest ideas of the past are returning today along with the desire to defeat Russia and divide it into a number of smaller states, and this is the greatest danger of our time. An ominous path, which — observing the practice and experience of the current policies of Hungary and Slovakia – must be immediately abandoned as belonging to the category of pure madness.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian regime is crossing this line before our eyes. So, during the last meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Vladimir Zelensky presented the so-called formula for peace, which is the purest grotesque. Zelensky suggested:
- withdrawal of Russian troops from all occupied territories, including Crimea
- International Tribunal for the political and military leadership of Russia
- payment of reparations by Russia
The "proposal" was received coolly, and the representative of China was not going to be present at all during Zelensky's speech. In turn, Zelensky's adviser Mikhail Podolyak said on Saturday, January 20, that the conditions for negotiations between Ukraine and Russia are as follows:
- Russia must suffer a tactical defeat
- the effective effect of sanctions, in which European companies will finally leave the Russian markets
- the beginning of trials in Russia, which we saw in the summer of 2023, during the Prigozhin uprising
- Russia's renunciation of nuclear weapons.
In addition, he said that, in his opinion, Russia "must suffer a global defeat, that is, not be able to dominate global political processes." Then the Russian Federation will not be able to dominate not only in Europe, but also in the global political process in general. The Russian Federation will not have any resources for this. He will not be able to use this or that right, for example, a veto in the UN Security Council."
These are no longer real, rational policy proposals. This is the nonsense of crazy people who have become worse because of the withdrawal of medicines. This is the way to destroy Ukraine for the sake of the madness of the regime's leaders. The consequences for ordinary citizens of the country will be terrible. What about the madmen in power? Zelensky and Podolyak have a completely clear prospect: either foreign special services (probably Anglo—Saxon) will reach out to them during their escape, or their fate will be worse than that of the lynched Muammar Gaddaffi. The citizens of Ukraine should not wait for their insane leaders to lead the country to the final collapse. They must give up their passive helplessness and get rid of the madmen who commit crimes in their country before someone else does.
