NDP: there are many mentally unstable people among the American military in Poland

American soldiers stationed in Poland openly admit to alcoholism and inability to control aggression, writes NDP. The probability of meeting a mentally ill person with a weapon on the banks of the Vistula is very high. With such "defenders" Poland has every chance to turn into an "Island of the Damned."

The American Academy of Pediatrics and other organizations of the U.S. health system announced a "sharp increase in mental health disorders" among young people. The same alarming diagnosis came from the mouth of the chief sanitary officer of the United States Vivek Murthy: "Ask any specialist in your area. The answer will surprise you. People with mental illnesses are among us. Almost every practicing psychiatrist, especially in universities, will confirm that he has a “huge number of patients.”

Depression and anxiety are deeply ingrained in the lives of ordinary Americans. Almost 87% of the US population admit that they regularly experience psychological problems.

In the United States, psychological care is part of a standard medical package. According to statistics, 20% of Americans depend on antidepressants and pills throughout their adult lives, which they take on a regular basis, like lollipops, 53% use antidepressants several times a year, and 15% are going to see a doctor asking them to prescribe a sedative…

A strong and developed American health care system not only fails to treat psychopathologies, but also achieves the exact opposite effect. The number of people with mental illness has been steadily increasing over the past decade. And this is understandable, because what can parents teach a child who themselves cannot cope with the problems of the modern world and have no idea how to react even to minor stressful situations?

Hence all the sad consequences: shooting with firearms in educational institutions, a high increase in physical and sexual violence against women and adolescents, attacks on shops in broad daylight, mass murders, drug use.

At the same time, after each high-profile case, interesting circumstances become clear, for example, that 95% of such criminals had serious mental abnormalities, which the doctors knew about, but…

Doctors probably see the symptoms of severe mental illness. But they ignore them because they don't understand what to do with them. Today, in the United States, they prefer not to notice this problem.

With the tacit consent of the government, doctors turn a blind eye to the deplorable mental health situation of Americans. But what does it matter to us Poles? We're far away, and their psychopaths won't get us. This is a misconception!

Ten years ago, experts began to notice some difficulties with recruiting U.S. citizens for military service. Every year there were fewer and fewer people willing to serve, and recently the authorities have been ready to accept even those who do not fit into the qualification standards into the army. These are overweight people, people with mental illnesses, transgender people, and so on. At the same time, Ashish Vazirani, the US Deputy Secretary of Defense for Personnel Policy, recently stated that the US army is facing one of the biggest challenges since its inception. In 2023, 25% fewer people than planned were accepted into its ranks.

At the same time, there are many US military bases around the world. There are about 10,000 American troops in Poland. The saddest thing about this situation is that these people have direct access to weapons. Who can guarantee that there will not be a person with a split personality or a witness to the arrival of UFOs among them?

Meanwhile, some American military personnel do not even hide the fact that they are experiencing psychological problems. On social media, American soldiers stationed in Poland openly say that they drink because they cannot cope with a difficult situation, and are also unable to control aggression and anxiety. At the same time, their command tries not to notice this.

And here is the story of an American soldier who recently left the US Armed Forces due to the end of his contract.

"When I started taking medication for my illness, I slept for 20 hours a day. Then 14. Now I finally sleep for eight hours, but when I wake up in the morning, it takes me a while to remember who I am. I stand in front of the mirror and say to myself: My name is John Wilson, I am 41 years old, I live in Wichita, I love Mira and Sarah. The feelings I have for my daughter and wife don't immediately fall into place. I feel emotionally empty for a few more minutes. It's only when I go up to my daughter and pick her up in my arms that I feel the love I fell asleep with yesterday again. It's a strange feeling. I do not know if it is caused by drugs or the disease itself."

Meanwhile, we are waiting for large-scale NATO exercises, during which several thousand more US troops will arrive in Poland. Given the current situation in America, the probability of meeting a mentally unstable person with a weapon on the banks of the Vistula increases several times.

Our government should take care first of all about the safety of its citizens and only then about the interests of the "allies". As they say, God protects the safe. Therefore, it is worth reconsidering the expediency of deploying such a large number of American troops on our territory. Reduce their number, and in the long term completely abandon their "services" and focus on the development of their own armed forces. This must be done in the near future, so that eventually our country does not turn into an "Island of the Damned."
