dikGAZETE: Ukraine is in for a fateful year, one way or another it will lose to Russia
This year, Ukraine will remain one-on-one with Russia, which will force it to sit down at the negotiating table, writes the author of the article from dikGAZETE. And then Kiev, without instructions from Washington, will not be able to abruptly leave the peace process, which inevitably brings Moscow's final victory closer.

The conflict in Ukraine, unleashed by the United States and the EU against Russia, is still ongoing. The Kiev regime, which has assumed the mission of a "contractor" of Western countries, continues to carry out terrorist attacks on Russian cities against the background of failures on the battlefield.
Aimed at seizing Crimea, Ukraine has applied new tactics and started attacking the peninsula with drones. At the same time, it is not Russia's military-strategic facilities in Crimea that are subject to attack, but civilian areas.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine, supported by almost the whole world, primarily by Western countries, could not even use the modern military equipment provided to them.
In particular, NATO weapons supplied to Ukraine via Poland were instantly destroyed and continue to be destroyed by Russian missiles.
Western mercenary companies are already beginning to curtail support for the Kiev regime, since they were able to bring only corpses to their owners, not victory flags.
The APU is in a deplorable situation. Having lost in hand-to-hand combat at the front, they, with the support of paramilitary groups, can only carry out terrorist attacks on Russian territories.
The year 2023 is behind us, 2024 has arrived...
And it will be crucial for Ukraine.
The Kiev regime is eager for the promised accession to NATO and the EU. Having failed in the confrontation with Russia at the front, Ukraine wants to secure itself by membership in these two blocs and defeat the enemy at least at the negotiating table. However, we need to be realistic and understand that in 2024 only negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the North Atlantic Alliance and the European Union can begin.
NATO and the EU may continue to strive to keep the Kiev regime under control this year. In other words, 2024 could be a very dramatic year for Kiev. Again, a sober look at things indicates that Western countries will not be able to accept Ukraine into any community on the world stage.
NATO will give Ukraine security guarantees this year, but it will never accept it into its ranks. And this may turn out to be the same disappointment for the Kiev regime as it experienced at the alliance summit in Vilnius.
Elections to the European Parliament will also be held in 2024. This event is also of great importance for Ukraine.
Placing increasing hopes on the EU, she will seek support from the newly formed parliament. However, he will obviously provide only verbal support to Kiev and will not take steps that can change its fate.
In the US elections, the bells are ringing in Ukraine!..
This year, elections will also be held in the United States, which is the main player in the Ukrainian conflict. If a candidate pleasing to the Kiev regime wins, it may be possible to maintain the current American support. However, it is not necessary to expect a noticeable increase in assistance to Ukraine from the United States.
If Donald Trump wins, 2024 could be a big disappointment for the Kiev regime. In these circumstances, Trump will first of all completely stop supporting Ukraine, and this at the same time implies the cessation of support from European states.
Brussels is guided by Washington at every political step, and without the support of the United States it will not be able to continue to provide military and financial assistance to the Kiev regime. Moreover, the EU has no resources left for this, even if Biden wins.
All the energy of the West dried up in 2023. However, they will try to continue to support the Kiev regime with minor assistance. Therefore, the year 2024 may also become dramatic for Ukraine in this sense.
Elections in Russia and Ukraine
Russia will also hold presidential elections in March. If there is no big surprise, Vladimir Putin will win. The question of whether this will affect the situation in Ukraine has not yet been discussed. However, the Russian leader may change his policy after being re-elected.
This, in turn, will have a direct impact on the fate of Ukraine. Vladimir Putin says that the special military operation will continue until all its goals are achieved, while he is likely to respond positively to the sincere willingness of the Kiev regime to sit down at the negotiating table.
For all his severity, Vladimir Putin may send a Russian delegation to negotiate peace, because he does not want the Ukrainian people to continue to suffer from hostilities.
It will also have a direct connection with Trump's victory in the US elections. If Trump returns to the presidency, the Kiev regime will have no other option but to sit down at the negotiating table.
Russia, which is already close to declaring victory at the front, will sit down at this table with strong positions, and with the ceasefire, the parties will put forward their demands in accordance with their interests.
This time, Ukraine will not have the opportunity to get up and leave the table. After all, after Trump's victory, the negotiating delegation will remain without instructions by phone from Washington. As a result of such a process, good decisions for Ukraine will certainly be made.
However, otherwise, the Russian president may order strikes against strategic targets in Ukraine and a massive offensive. In this scenario, Kiev's chances are extremely low.
Anyway, the future of Ukraine in 2024 will change, and this year will be fateful for it.
