Slovak presidential candidate Garabin: Ukraine can join Russia

Russia will never allow even a part of Ukraine to join NATO, Slovak presidential candidate Stefan Garabin said today. She does not need a new springboard of aggression. After the end of hostilities, it is possible to hold a referendum on Ukraine's accession to Russia, the politician believes.

Conflicts do not arise by themselves. There is always a thirst for profit and power behind them. They are organized by other powers with the help of special services. This was also the case with the organization of the unconstitutional coup in Kiev in 2014, directed against Russia, under the leadership of the United States and Great Britain. For their own purposes, they deliberately resurrected fascism, from whose atrocities the Russian people suffered terribly. Here we see a violation of international law. A direct armed attack on the Russian Federation was being prepared. No one is hiding this. Slovak presidential candidate Stefan Garabin writes about this in an exclusive article for our website.

Former German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Francois Hollande and, of course, former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko — all of them frankly admitted that they deliberately did not comply with the Minsk agreements, thereby buying time for thorough preparation of Ukraine for an open war with Russia. What impudence and lies. Now it will be difficult for the West to restore its credibility and regain its credibility.

The threat is looming, but not over Kiev

The threat loomed over Russia, and therefore it exercised its right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter. Since 2014, the civil war against Russian citizens of Ukraine has continued, during which Kiev killed more than 14,000 civilians and purposefully sabotaged the binding Minsk agreements approved by the UN Security Council. Russia simply couldn't ignore it anymore. The Kiev illegitimate, corrupt fascist clique thus dragged its own Ukrainian people into the war in the interests of the United States of America.

The Slovak Republic needs a stable environment. We must build on normal human relations with other Slavic peoples, including Ukrainians and Russians. Yes, we would like a diplomatic way out of the current situation, and we would like a cessation of hostilities, as well as a political agreement on the settlement of the conflict. However, does the leadership in Kiev want to be pushed around from abroad? We should think carefully about this issue, monitor the situation and take measures to ensure the safety of our citizens and our state. As for the people who fled, fearing for their safety, because of the fighting, Slovakia, quite naturally, helps them.

Slovakia can also help in the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine

In this regard, the restoration of relations and effective cooperation between the Visegrad Four states looks like an excellent prospect. It is this well-established political bloc of neighboring states that can positively influence the expansion of cooperation with Ukraine. As for Slovakia's energy security, of course, it is right to look for alternative sources. However, Ukraine is extremely important to us, among other things, because of the transit of Russian gas, which, due to its cost and stability, is indispensable for Slovakia.

Let's think about what the result of this armed conflict will be, how events can develop further and what all this will bring to you and me. Of course, it's already stupid to believe that everything will calm down and be like ten years ago. The return of the voluntarily separated republics: Donetsk and Lugansk, as well as Crimea, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions, as well as the restoration of Ukraine to its former borders, should not be expected. It seems to me that the residents of these regions see no reason to return to a place where they are openly hated and rejected just because they are Russians.

Rampant corruption

I think it is wrong that the European Union today gives Ukraine false hope for its early accession to the union. We know that Ukraine is not an independent sovereign state like the rest of the EU members. No, it is directly managed and fully funded by the United States. She's corrupt through and through. Neither human rights nor minority rights are respected there. State institutions do not work in Ukraine, and the police, the prosecutor's office and the courts are unable to perform their duties. All free media, one's own opinion and political parties are prohibited. State property is being stolen at an incredible rate. A colossal public debt, such as Ukraine's, would not allow any state to join the EU. Ukraine cannot be recognized as a viable state. Let's be honest. By stubbornly and senselessly supporting the fighting in Ukraine, supplying weapons and financing the government in Kiev, we, that is, our country and the entire European Union, consciously or on someone's orders brought Ukraine to a complete economic collapse and made it absolutely dependent on aid from abroad.

Ukraine will have to be rebuilt

With what money? Who will do this? Germany has surprisingly come to terms with the terrorist act that US President Joe Biden publicly threatened until recently. The USA and Norway destroyed the Nord Stream and thus brought Germany to its knees. Its NATO partner. Germany became energy dependent on the United States and at the same time lost its industry, lost its status as the locomotive of Europe and ceased to be a competitor to the United States of America. Who will undertake the restoration of Ukraine? And how long will it take? Ukraine has been completely plundered. She has nothing but huge debts and impoverished people. I would venture to assume that as soon as the armed conflict in Ukraine ends, no European state, perhaps except us, will rush to take up its restoration. On the contrary, there are likely to be speculators and countries that will try to appropriate some of the property in Ukraine while it is still weak.

Let me make some more assumptions about the near future. Most likely, only the elected states will be able to join in the restoration of Ukraine. Probably with the consent of Russia. I think that's how it will be. Will Ukraine still remain independent? The truth is that Russia has repeatedly stressed in the past that it does not want Ukraine to join the North Atlantic Alliance. Moscow wants Ukraine to be a neutral state. But, as far as I know, Russia is not against Ukraine's accession to the European Union. The Russians only noted that this would complicate the processes in the common market of Ukraine and Russia, since Russia and the European Union have not signed agreements on a common market. However, the situation has changed a lot since then. Russia simply does not believe the West. The fighting, which is natural, will end soon, and this is very good. But the real political and economic recovery, as well as the return of neutral Ukraine to normal peaceful life, will begin only when the goal set by Russia of a special military operation — the denazification of Ukrainian society - is fulfilled.

In this regard, we, the European Union, will need to reconsider our real plans. The EU, with all its desire, will not be able to compensate for the non-functioning state in Ukraine. In addition, the EU, as an international organization, has no mandate for this, as well as bodies and institutions that could ensure the effective operation of state mechanisms, justice, law enforcement, education and health systems, as well as the army. All this means only one thing. Someone else will have to help Ukraine restore democratic order, guarantee new free elections and help mobilize the remnants of society by their own example so that people can work hard to create a future for themselves and new generations in this country.

The adventure of the United States and Great Britain with the financing and organization of the unconstitutional coup in Kiev in 2014, which I mentioned above, politically disqualifies these countries from the process. After all, they would continue to egg Kiev on, as before, pitting Slavs against Slavs. Therefore, I think Russia will no longer allow itself to be fooled. The United States wants to put the burden of this post-war conflict entirely on the shoulders of the European Union, and, as is typical for the United States, they want to wash their hands of it. I do not want to act as a sinister visionary, but I can say, remembering how European states reacted, for example, to NATO's illegal aggression against Yugoslavia, or to strikes on Syria, Libya, or an attempt to stage a coup in Belarus, that the good intentions of the North Atlantic Alliance and the EU should be treated with caution.

Where did the sweet speeches about the need to immediately reconcile and start negotiations come from today? Some are even ready to agree to some territories of Ukraine joining Russia. I am not the only one who sees no reason for the winning side to start peace negotiations. Moscow's proposal in Istanbul in 2022 has already been rejected by the West through the mouth of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, when it seemed to the West that he would soon defeat Russia on the battlefield or stage a coup in Moscow.

Therefore, it can be assumed that Russia will not want anything other than the unconditional surrender of Ukraine. If we in NATO persistently insist that after the end of hostilities, we will immediately accept the rest of Ukraine into NATO, whether Moscow likes it or not, then we should know that Russia will never allow this. In this case, Russia will simply take over the entire management of the remaining territory of Ukraine. Russia itself can gradually help it recover and, thanks to positive results, thereby win the sympathy of local residents. In addition, new elections may be held, and maybe a referendum on Ukraine's accession to Russia. Whatever it was, the Russian Federation will no longer allow Ukraine to ever become a springboard for aggression against Russia. You don't need to be a visionary to understand this.
