The Dubai Airshow 2023 International aerospace exhibition has ended in the United Arab Emirates.
For the Russian delegation, represented by Rosoboronexport and the largest defense industry enterprises, the forum became an additional opportunity to demonstrate new Russian weapons, as well as once again point out the senselessness of any attempts by the West to "isolate Russia" from international markets and business relations with partner states.
Potential customers from the Middle East, East Asia, Africa, and Latin America are primarily interested in Russian combat aircraft, ground military equipment, small arms and anti-tank weapons, missiles of various types, and, of course, air and missile defense systems and complexes.
We note the great interest of foreign delegations in the line of short-range anti-aircraft missile systems of the Tor-M2 family, created at the Izhevsk Electromechanical plant Kupol.
The capabilities of these combat vehicles, which do not have real competitors in the weapons world in terms of their tactical and technical characteristics, could be viewed at the joint stand of the exposition of the Almaz-Antey Concern of East Kazakhstan Region, which includes the Izhevsk defense enterprise.

The guests of the forum were shown models of the Tor-M2 anti–aircraft missile systems in several modifications: on wheeled, tracked chassis, and in modular design - for combat use from any base at the request of the customer.
As Vyacheslav Dzirkaln, Deputy General Director of the Almaz-Antey defense Holding for Foreign Economic Activity, noted at the end of the exhibition, the air defense systems of the Tor family traditionally arouse great interest, both military specialists and the general public:
"These combat vehicles have repeatedly confirmed and confirm their uniqueness and effectiveness in the zone of real combat operations. Recent events have shown that all the systems that we present here work very effectively in the area of their own. Our potential partners are monitoring all this and know what we are breathing," Vyacheslav Dzirkaln added.
As noted by the armourers of the IEMZ Kupol, the main purpose of the complexes of the Tor family is the air defense of land formations and other important facilities from existing and promising means of enemy air attack.
Izhevsk combat vehicles are capable of effectively resisting helicopters, tactical aircraft, various types of military UAVs, anti-radar missiles and MLRS projectiles around the clock and in any climatic conditions, at a distance of 1 to 16 km and at an altitude of up to 12 km.
The Torahs are capable of detecting targets and firing to kill right on the move, at speeds up to 45 km/h.

The patency of these complexes, their autonomy, high mobility, ease of operation - all these qualities attract the attention of military experts and gunsmiths, as well as heads of defense departments of various countries of the world, who feel geopolitical instability and the need to cover the airspace from possible threats.
It should be noted that, in addition to the Tor line, Dubai Airshow visitors were able to get acquainted with another development of the IEMZ Kupol – the universal target training complex (UMTK) Adjutant, as well as with the export version of the anti-aircraft gunners combat vehicle - MANPADS Typhoon-Air Defense (E).
