EDR Magazine journalists visited the MBDA plant in Schrobenhausen, where they plan to manufacture new light ATGM Enforcer. The German defense industry is ready to launch them into mass production, but the assembly line is inactive while the pilot batch of the product is being tested. According to the company, the start of deliveries to the Bundeswehr is expected in 2024.
Enforcer is one of the few ATGMs with manual launch, since most analogues use bipods or a tripod. The mass of the rocket is less than 7 kg, and the length is less than 1 meter. The warhead hits the target at a distance of more than 2000 meters, although the Bundeswehr required only 1800 meters.
Before launching, the operator makes a choice of three firing modes: detonation in a collision with a target, delayed or in the air at a given time. After pointing the arrow at the target, the missile fixes it and will independently pursue it via infrared or television channel (depending on the choice of the operator before shooting).
The homing system [FCS FCS14 from Aimpoint] compares the image with the initially received image; during flight, contrast correlation is carried out with a refresh rate of 25 frames per second. Therefore, even if the lighting changes or the target moves in other conditions [for example, in the case of interference], the tracking system continues to direct the Enforcer missile to the intended object.

- the publication says.
As indicated, the actual anti-tank modification of the Enforcer-X is currently a concept. It is planned that the ATGM will be as similar as possible to the original missile, the main exception will be the warhead. The warhead will be a tandem cumulative, specially made for piercing tank armor behind the DZ.
The warhead will lose the ability to detonate in the air, but the missile will be able to attack targets in two modes – in a straight trajectory or inclined, including from above. At the same time, the range of the system will remain at the level of 2 km.

A number of other products are being developed on the basis of Enforcer. So, in cooperation with the Brazilian company XMobots, a means of destruction for drones is being created. At the moment, work is underway at the concept stage.
The evolution of Enforcer is the small anti-neural SADM system. This is a nine-shot rocket launcher, which is mounted on the roof of a Boxer armored car equipped with a Rheinmetall Skyranger 30 turret. The main objectives of the NNBS system are UAVs weighing less than 150 kg. The SADM itself is responsible for the range from 2 to 5-6 km, while the 30 mm cannon is responsible for shorter distances.
The SADM will be significantly longer compared to the current Enforcer rocket, since an accelerator will be installed in the rear. It will receive a different GOS, and the warhead will be adapted to a new role, probably - to the fragmentation of striking elements.
