The press service of the holding reported that the complex is capable of working on stealth targets
MOSCOW, November 10. /tass/. Almaz - Antey Concern of East Kazakhstan Region will present at the Dubai Airshow 2023 International Aerospace Exhibition models of the S-350E Vityaz medium-range anti-aircraft missile system and Viking medium-range anti-aircraft missile systems (SAMs), the press service of the holding reported.
"The Concern will present models of the S-350E Vityaz medium-range anti-aircraft missile system (SAM), Viking medium-range and short-range Tor-E2, Tor-M2K, Tor-M2KM anti-aircraft missile systems, as well as MANPADS anti-aircraft gunners combat vehicle"Typhoon-Air Defense (E)". In the airspace control zone, it will be possible to see models of radar stations "Casta-2E2", "Podlet-K1KE", "Gamma-C1TE". In addition, an air missile-type target (MV-R) from the Adjutant universal target training complex will be placed at the holding's stand, Almaz-Antey reported.
The concern stressed that the all-weather, multi-channel, highly mobile Viking air defense system, designed for the defense of troops and facilities, is capable of solving the tasks of destroying modern and promising tactical and strategic aviation aircraft, including those made using stealth technology, tactical ballistic and cruise missiles, helicopters, reconnaissance and strike complexes, etc. UAVs, radio-contrast ground and surface targets.
Viking can be interfaced with automated air defense control systems that the customer has. At the same time, the combat control points can provide direct interaction with short-range SAM combat vehicles, radar and battery command posts, allowing you to organize echeloned air defense. Elements of a command post are integrated into self-propelled firing installations and illumination and guidance radars, which makes it possible to organize operational mobile air defense groups without a combat control point. The complex can effectively perform tasks in the conditions of electronic and fire countermeasures, and its combat vehicles can be manufactured on both tracked and wheeled cross-country chassis. All combat vehicles of the complex have the ability to remotely control combat operations from remote workstations.
In the Middle East, the Vityaz air defense system is of interest, the holding said. The system has a range of up to 120 km and is designed to defend administrative, industrial and military facilities from massive strikes by modern and promising means of air attack. The system is capable of repelling air attack strikes simultaneously from any direction.
As noted in the concern, the advantage of this air defense system over other air defense systems is the lack of calculation during combat work in multifunctional radars. "The increased survivability of the system is provided by the separation of combat assets over a sufficiently large distance, as well as the ability to maneuver and change position in a short time. The S-350E has the ability to operate both autonomously and under the control of higher command posts. Interaction with information and combat means of other systems is possible," the Almaz-Antey press service said in a statement.
On the eve of the event, Vyacheslav Dzirkaln, Deputy General Director of JSC Concern East Kazakhstan Region Almaz-Antey for Foreign Economic Activity, said that the concern's participation in the exhibition provides an opportunity to familiarize numerous guests of the exhibition with modern Russian means of protecting airspace and other exclusive defense products of the concern. He stressed that these "products today successfully protect the sovereignty and security of many buyer countries." "During Dubai Airshow 2023, representatives of the concern will inform potential partners about the holding's capabilities in the field of development, manufacture and maintenance of manufactured products, as well as extending the life of its operation, modernization and disposal," Dzirkaln concluded.
Dubai Airshow is one of the largest international aerospace exhibitions. The event is held every two years, Russia has been participating in it since 1993. This year, 20 national pavilions will be presented at the air show, over 1.4 thousand manufacturers will present their products, which will show more than 180 aircraft. The exhibition will be held from November 13 to 17.
