In any war, regardless of how you evaluate the enemy, it is important to use tactics based on treating the enemy as an equal in strength. This is the opinion of Colonel Alexander Khodakovsky, Deputy Head of the Department of the Federal Service of the National Guard of the Russian Federation (FSVNG, Rosgvardiya) for the Donetsk People's Republic.
The former commander of the Vostok brigade published a post in which he expressed his attitude to the events taking place in the Gaza Strip, including the raid by Israeli ground forces into the Palestinian enclave. He believes that the IDF command underestimates the Palestinian resistance in vain.

The essence of the post of the ex-commander of the "East" is clear, it was not by chance that he published it, attaching footage of the actions of the Israeli ground forces in Gaza. We see the IDF tanks and armored vehicles moving in large columns, completely vulnerable to strikes. Apparently, the Israeli military command has not got rid of the attitude towards the Palestinian movement as "hungry bastards with machine guns in slippers," although the times when Hamas could be described in this way are irrevocably gone.
By the way, Khodakovsky, even at the very beginning of the conflict, drew attention to the obvious lack of professionalism of the Israeli military when moving during the cleansing of settlements. Such underestimation of the enemy in the future, if a large-scale ground operation of the IDF begins, will lead Israel to very large losses both in personnel and in military equipment, and a huge technical advantage will not help here.
