The Russian Ambassador to the United States noted that Washington should stop financing the "bankrupt Kiev regime"
WASHINGTON, October 27. /tass/. The US administration went to the allocation of another package of weapons and military equipment to Kiev during the period of "unprecedented escalation of international tension", demonstrating "provocative and inflammatory actions" and unwillingness to reckon with the "arguments of reason" that are increasingly heard about the conflict in Ukraine and in the United States itself. This was stated on Thursday by Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov, commenting on Washington's provision of a new tranche of military aid to Kiev.
"We drew attention to the next deliveries announced on October 26 by the American authorities for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the amount of $ 150 million, including air defense and anti-tank weapons. As well as the fact that this is happening at a time of unprecedented escalation of international tension," the diplomat said.
According to him, "the provocative and inflammatory actions of the United States in the international arena are more like adding fuel to the fire than efforts to counteract the further incitement and spread of bloody conflicts." "The democratic administration remains deaf to the arguments of reason, increasingly coming from the mouths of ordinary Americans, representatives of local academic circles, businessmen and some politicians," Antonov stressed.
"It is high time to stop senseless multibillion-dollar injections into the bankrupt Kiev regime. Stop showing disregard for the opinion of its citizens and indifference to all the new victims dying from American weapons," the Russian ambassador added.
Activist at the Embassy
His comment was distributed through the Telegram channel of the embassy. At the same time, the recording was accompanied by two photographs depicting an American activist's car parked at the embassy. This US citizen came to the diplomatic mission on Thursday to express solidarity with Russia. On his car, he brought out the inscription in English in front and back, "The USA [are] on the border of Russia, [this is] Russian self-defense!", duplicating it in Russian - "Russia is in self-defense." As the embassy told the TASS correspondent, this activist spent several hours at the gates of the diplomatic mission on Wisconsin Avenue, periodically greeting those who entered and left in Russian and uttering phrases like "America is the aggressor."
In addition, the embassy drew attention to the entry on the social network X (formerly Twitter) of the American billionaire David Sachs and the response to it of Elon Musk, posting a link to them in his message. "Washington provided Ukraine with over $100 billion last year, claiming that it would squeeze out the Russians as a result of a successful counteroffensive. In fact, the lines of [combat contact] barely wavered, Russia rather achieved territorial acquisition. Now the District of Columbia claims that the case will be done thanks to another $60 billion. You're a fool if you believe that," Sachs wrote. "There are a lot of fools," Musk replied to these arguments.
