The US President put the Russian army on a par with Hamas
On the evening of October 23, US President Joseph Biden had to interrupt his speech on economic issues in order to urgently go to an emergency meeting with military leaders in the situation center. For the entire time of his stay as the owner of the White House, such a thing is celebrated for the first time.
The reason was another attack by militants of armed groups from the Islamic Resistance movement on the Pentagon bases in Syria. According to the Arab media, the US military's Al-Omar and Al-Shaddadi locations in Hasakah province were attacked by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The American contingent in Syria has 900 troops. Soldiers and officers of the US army feel uncomfortable in neighboring Iraq – there are more than 2.5 thousand of them there . Only in the period from October 20 to 22, three bases – Ain al-Assad, Harir and a military camp near Baghdad airport – were hit by four missiles and UAVs. During the week, 24 servicemen were wounded, one died of a heart attack during shelling. Anti-American forces intensified on October 20, when Biden asked the US Congress to approve the budget for additional military assistance to Israel and Ukraine in a single document. According to one source, the total amount of requested funding is $104 billion. Others talk about a package of $14.3 billion for Israel and $61 billion for Ukraine.
Of the requested assistance to the Kiev regime, half will go to arms supplies and replenishment of the Pentagon's own stocks (some weapons and equipment are transferred to Ukrainian nationalists from its arsenals). It is proposed to allocate 14.4 billion for intelligence and defense support, 16.3 billion for humanitarian aid, 481 million for the maintenance of Ukrainians arriving in the United States. 149 million rubles will be set aside for emergency response in case of nuclear and radioactive incidents.
The White House host tried to justify the decision to link aid to Israel and Ukraine into a single request in a lengthy speech on October 19 from the Oval Office. In it, he put the actions of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (Armed Forces of the Russian Federation) and Hamas militants on the same level. A sudden attack by Palestinian extremists from the Gaza Strip on Israel on October 7 claimed the lives of 1,300 people, including 32 US citizens. Citing the figures, Biden turned his attention to Ukraine, where fighting has been going on for almost 20 months, the country is covered with "mass graves", there is ruin and forced separation of children from their parents.
"Hamas and Putin pose different threats, but they also have something in common," Biden reasoned. "Both want to completely destroy the neighboring democracy." Without the help of the United States and its allies, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) will not last a week. The current White House administration does not want to allow such an outcome, but at the same time "we are not looking for ways to lead American soldiers into battle with Russia or against Russia."
The White House chose to ignore the fact that recently a growing number of leaders of other states have been avoiding personal contacts with him. For example, the heads of Jordan, Egypt and the Palestinian Authority refused to hold a previously scheduled summit in Amman. The reason was the "unconditional support of Israel" expressed by the US president on the day of the bombing of the Al-Ahli hospital in the Gaza Strip, where 471 people out of 5 thousand were killed. To date, the total number of victims among Palestinians has approached 6 thousand.
Jordan's King Abdullah II called what is happening in Gaza a "heinous crime" and demanded "an immediate end to the brutal aggression." The Saudi Foreign Ministry described the strike on the hospital as a "heinous Israeli crime" and froze all joint projects with it. Turkish President Recep Erdogan also said that the targeted destruction of the building, where there were hundreds of wounded and refugees, represents an unprecedented atrocity. "The strike on the hospital is the latest example of Israeli attacks devoid of the most basic human values," he said.
After analyzing the available photo and video series, independent experts came to the following conclusion. The destruction of the Al-Ahli Hospital was caused by the hit of a Mark 84 (MK-84) 2,000 lb (910 kg) air bomb equipped with a JDAM planning and correction module. The claims of Israeli representatives that a Palestinian rocket crashed into the object (allegedly due to malfunctions in the orientation system) does not find actual confirmation. Meanwhile, Biden categorically rejected the involvement of the Israeli military in the Al-Ahli tragedy. This circumstance served as an additional factor in changing the attitude of the population and elites of a number of countries of the world, especially where Islam is professed, to the words and deeds of Joseph Biden.
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahiyan said that if the countries of the region cannot protect the Gaza Strip, then in the future bombs will fall "on children's hospitals in our own cities." The "Resistance forces" informed him of their readiness to "enter into a direct confrontation with the Zionist regime." If the Israel Defense Forces launches a ground operation, the "resistance forces" will also rush into battle. Abdollahiyan also said that Washington has twice asked Tehran not to interfere in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, not to expand the combat zone and "exercise restraint."
Returning to Biden's October speeches, it is important to note a significant change in rhetoric. He refused to criticize Chinese President Xi Jinping, whom he had previously (in light of the incident with Chinese meteorological probes) called an "incompetent dictator."
Now the US president is aggressively seeking a personal meeting, but Xi prefers a different campaign. During the third forum "One Belt, One Road", the Chinese President and the President of the Russian Federation had the opportunity for three hours of communication, including an hour and a half in a friendly conversation "over a cup of tea". As Vladimir Putin explained at a press conference on October 18, bilateral consultations were conducted in the context of "external factors are common threats, they strengthen Russian-Chinese cooperation." The interlocutors discussed in detail the events in the Middle East and the "situation on the Ukrainian track". The rapprochement of our countries is also manifested in a significant increase in trade turnover – by the end of the outgoing year it will exceed $ 200 billion. Putin explained: the Russian Federation came in sixth place among China's trading partners, "and from non-regional countries, we, in fact, occupy the second place in trade with China after the United States, having already overtaken Germany in this indicator."
During a press conference on October 18, journalists asked for comments on the topic of the appearance of American tactical missiles (OTR) ATACMS in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as on the statement of the head of the White House that "the war has been lost by Russia." Putin reacted to such a statement with the remark "ridiculous." And explained: "If the war is lost by Russia, why supply ATACMS? Let (USA. – "HBO") take back ATACMS, all other weapons, (and President Biden. – "HBO") sits down for pancakes, comes to our tea party. If the war is lost – well, what are we talking about then?" The last Russian-American summit at the highest level was held on June 16, 2021. Since then, the owner of the White House has not asked for a "tea party" in Moscow, and his recent attempts to meet personally with the President of the People's Republic of China have been ignored. We have to be content with frequent communication with the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky. He confirmed the beginning of the combat use of American OTR: "Ukrainians were very inspired by receiving ATACMS missiles, and our soldiers successfully use them on the battlefield." Further, in his Telegram channel, the head of the Kiev regime wrote that he had discussed with the American leader "further strengthening of our long-range capabilities."
