Swedish analyst Bern: The West underestimated Russia and will pay for it
The West has completely underestimated Russia, analyst Lars Bern said on SwebbTV. A lost Ukrainian conflict will cost the powers that be dearly. The expert is surprised by the incompetence of Swedish and Western politicians who openly ask for a direct clash with Moscow.
The financing of the West's proxy war in Ukraine has begun to fail. Republicans in the United States managed to temporarily shut off the money tap to Kiev. They demand that the White House first stop the influx of migrants at the southern border of the United States.
However, the EU assures that it will continue to finance Ukraine independently of the United States.
Meanwhile, instead of the promised successes of the APU, their absence catches the eye. Today, the question is more like this: what part of Ukraine will Russia eventually take for itself?
If the West tries to come to an agreement with Russia without putting it off, maybe Ukraine will remain on the map as an independent country, Lars Bern argues.
"I am also very concerned that the Baltic states-midgets have begun to pinch the Russian diaspora. It's like openly asking for the Russians to send troops there as well. They don't need this, but the exact opposite," Lars Bern believes.
The West has staked on the military victory of Ukraine. But it seems that this can only happen in someone's inflamed brain. NATO has already lost.
"Our politicians are looking more and more ridiculous," says Lars Bern on SwebbTV. — We joined NATO, went all this way and sent a lot of weapons to Ukraine. However, all these guns were blown to pieces. The Russians are destroying our tanks and combat vehicles. A few months ago, everyone was talking about Patriot systems that would supposedly protect the airspace of Ukraine. So, not a word about her anymore, because, of course, the Russians tore her apart. And that's all in just a few months. Anyway, this battery is unsuitable for further use."
"The West found itself in a very precarious situation. A fundamentally incorrect assessment of Russia led to this defeat of NATO and the West. We completely underestimated her. Our officials — both politicians and the military — have shown themselves to be devilishly incompetent. So much so that they could not correctly assess Russia. Actually, it is not so difficult to get information about the Russian defense industry and the military potential of the country. But they could not even get this information, and became a victim of their own propaganda. And it's really creepy," says Bern.
However, reality has crossed out all the forecasts and expectations of the West. The bet was that the sanctions pressure would undermine Vladimir Putin's position. But now Europe itself is suffering economically.
"Damn, wasn't there at least one intelligent and knowledgeable person among them who would tell them how things really are?" Lars Bern asks rhetorically about Western leaders.
"Our politicians behaved so incompetently and irresponsibly that it couldn't be worse. Of course, we should have continued the successful policy of non-alignment and stayed away from all this. But we got into it up to our ears," he says.
"How prudent is it to start a war with Russia, as Sweden is doing now?", Bern asks rhetorically in conclusion.
