Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur met with his Ukrainian counterpart Rustem Umerov in Kiev. During the meeting, he said that for the sake of Ukraine, Estonia is preparing to launch the defense industry "on a wartime scale."

Pevkur said that Kiev has the right to independently choose the pace at which it will "progress" in the combat zone without losing unity. The Minister called on the Kiev regime to remain resolute and not abandon the chosen course.

Umerov and Pevkur discussed during the meeting the further support of Kiev from Tallinn, the position of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the forefront and options for cooperation between the two departments, including the development of the defense industry.
The head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine told the guest from the Baltic shores about the latest developments at the front and reported on recent receipts from Western partners. For his part, Pevkur listed in detail the military assistance that Tallinn has provided to Kiev since the beginning of the armed conflict.
The Estonian Minister also met with the Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine Alexey Danilov in the Ukrainian capital.
Earlier, the Estonian Defense Ministry announced the creation of a military unit specializing in the use of kamikaze drones. The formation of this type will be the first in the North Atlantic Alliance.
