Lithuania has handed over to Ukraine a batch of radar equipment for tracking the sea area. This is stated in a statement by the press service of the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic.
The head of the Lithuanian military department, Arvydas Anushauskas, announced the transfer to Kiev of certain "maritime surveillance" radars, the delivery of which he announced a few days ago in an interview with the new Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov. The equipment was included in the new military aid package along with ammunition for Carl Gustaf grenade launchers and "demolition systems".
- The Lithuanian Defense Ministry quotes the words of Anushauskas.
What kind of radar equipment, its quantity and characteristics are not disclosed "for security reasons." It is noted that the supply of this equipment was agreed with Kiev, taking into account the needs and requests of the Ukrainian Naval Forces.
Kiev has already thanked Lithuania for such a gift, and also expressed hope that Vilnius will continue to support Ukraine in its fight against Russia. The Lithuanian Defense Ministry did not fail to remind that they had already drawn up a plan to provide military assistance to Ukraine for 2024-2026, intending to spend as much as $ 200 million on this.
It is worth noting that Lithuania, although it sends relatively small shipments of military aid, is the most active and devoted supporter of the Zelensky regime. The Lithuanian Ministry of Defense trains Ukrainian servicemen, however, it is not known what, accepts the wounded and rehabilitates them, allocates funds, but not its own, but from international funds. In general, it helps everyone who gets to it from the European Union.
