TSAMTO, September 25. In the period from September 19 to 21, the 57th meeting of the coordinating committee on air defense was held in Tula and a training and methodological gathering of the commanders of the air defense forces of the armed forces of the CIS member states was held.
The event was attended by representatives of the armed forces of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as the CIS Executive Committee, the Secretariat of the Council of Defense Ministers of the CIS member States, the Federal Service for Military–Technical Cooperation and enterprises of the Russian defense industry.
The meeting of the coordinating committee was held at the Patriot Park Congress Center.
During the meeting, the most pressing issues of the development of the Unified Air Defense System of the CIS member states were considered.
The main attention is paid to the military-technical aspects of the adaptation of the CIS Unified Air Defense System to the solution of aerospace defense tasks. The participants of the meeting exchanged the accumulated experience of military-technical cooperation, discussed its state and further development.
Promising areas of scientific research in the field of aerospace defense were discussed in detail and unified approaches to their implementation were developed. The solution of new scientific tasks will be carried out by specialized basic organizations of the CIS member states in cooperation with research institutions of the Ministries of Defense of the Commonwealth countries.
Among the priorities, the issues of training military specialists, scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel for the air defense forces were thoroughly considered. In this direction, the Coordinating Committee will continue to increase its efforts, taking into account the real needs of the national armed forces.
A key role in the training of military personnel is assigned to the Military Academy of Aerospace Defense (Tver), the basic organization of the CIS member states for the training of military personnel for the Unified Air Defense System.
On behalf of the coordinating committee, next year the Academy will organize training camps with various categories of air defense officers and the first International military-practical conference on topical issues of organizing and conducting air defense in modern conditions.
Taking into account the military-technical orientation of the committee meeting, within the framework of the training and methodological gathering, the commanders of the air defense forces were familiarized with a wide range of military products and the process of its production at the enterprises of the military industry.
The military delegations of the Commonwealth countries visited A.G.Shipunov Instrument Design Bureau JSC, Tulatochmash JSC, Central Design Bureau of Apparatus Engineering JSC and Strela Scientific and Production Association PJSC.
Taking into account the experience of combat use of Russian weapons, military and special equipment, including during a special military operation, the visit to the enterprises of the Russian defense industry became informative and aroused great professional interest in the expert environment, the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reports.
