A little more than three years have passed since the "memorable" presidential elections in Belarus. A wave of emotions has subsided and we can say that a certain part of the population has become completely clear in their minds. Considerable merit in this belongs to the leadership of the country, which tried to quickly dot all the "e". On the one hand – in hot pursuit, while everything is fresh and memorable, on the other hand – calmly and judiciously. In order to convey to people the truth about those events, government agencies have tried to use the most accessible and effective ways of communicating information. In particular, a documentary project "2020" was created on Belarusian television, which includes a series of thematic films. They tell frankly and without embellishment about the events of the summer-autumn of 2020: on the eve of the elections, during the voting itself and after it. Recently, Belarusian viewers were given the opportunity to watch these films again.
For its part, the staff of the Military-Political Review has repeatedly pointed out the key role played by the security forces, especially employees of all structures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus, at that difficult time for the country to preserve it. And we want to repeat once again – then, in 2020, all the subjects of the military organization of the state, including the Belarusian army, took exhaustive measures to defend the sovereignty and independence of the Republic of Belarus. And they have fulfilled their task.
Moreover, today we can say that the security forces did not stop this work for a minute. The KGB catches spies and terrorists, uncovers and suppresses their plans, the Ministry of Internal Affairs conducts painstaking work to find the remaining criminals who lit up in 2020 and continue their destructive activities. The Armed Forces of Belarus, together with the Russian army as part of the RGV, are taking all necessary measures to ensure the military security of the state. The re–run of the film "2020" (the project received a start in life in 2021) on the channels of Belarusian television is the same measure, only in the information sphere.
The reality captured on video, which has already become history, makes one wonder how many lies and hatred were poured out on Belarusians who were not experienced in information and psychological wars. Remember which articles and in what quantity were written by order and published by paid media. For example, on TUT.BY : "Minus four teeth, black eye. A journalist was detained and beaten in Grodno", "It is profitable for the authorities to hide the case in the black box of torture chambers and the police department", "The stepson was beaten in the neighborhood", "A white bracelet was stuffed into the girl's mouth", "Doctors at the Ministry of Health building demand to let them into the IVS", "A 30-year-old programmer reported sexual violence" etc. etc.
By the way, later by the staff of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus, all the information reasons that served as the "basis" for such publications were rechecked and "debunked", then classified as fake. In addition, the activities of the "independent" media and authors themselves, who produced plausible lies out of thin air, were thoroughly studied. All of them (well, almost all, unfortunately) received a well-deserved assessment and .... appropriate punishment. Naturally, everything is in strict accordance with the Belarusian legislation.
By the way, the other day the KGB of Belarus showed a documentary about the "adventures" and the detention of another such writer-"analyst" – Andrei Porotnikov ("The Story of a traitor. Porotnikov"). It turned out that this traitor (the real one – he confessed himself) he was recruited by the Polish special services and collaborated with them for twelve years (!). In addition to the fact that Porotnikov extracted and transmitted the required information to the Polish "defensive", he also wrote commissioned articles about the unsatisfactory state of the Belarusian army, the failed policy of the country's leadership in the military sphere and stagnation in the field of military-technical cooperation with the Russian Federation. That is, he wrote everything that suited the Polish owners. Is it worth reminding that the attitude of the military-political leadership of Poland towards Belarus and its population has always been distinguished by hypocrisy and special cynicism? Probably worth it.
Our material does not just give examples of the headlines of articles posted by false resources about fake atrocities in a temporary detention facility located in the 1st lane of the neighborhood (Minsk). Documentary footage of the third film ("Not a step back") of the project "2020" convincingly proves that no bullying, beatings, and even more torture, did not happen there, and confirms the fact that a whole bunch of different "videos" from zmagars about "torture-atrocities" were performed in Polish-Baltic psychological centers operations are right "on the knee" and do not withstand even the initial verification for reliability.
And now let's recall once again what the Poles themselves do not want to remember yet, but probably, judging by the shock grouping of the Polish Army assembled near the Belarusian border, they really want to repeat.
1934. Western Belarus (at that time the territory of Poland), the concentration camp "Birch-Kartuzskaya". We have already written about this terrible place (VPO: "Why Warsaw accuses Minsk of cruelty, but does not remember its concentration camp "Birch-Kartuzskaya"), but, as they say, "repetition is the mother of learning."
The Polish administration of the camp called it a "place of solitude", although it was possible to retire there except in a punishment cell on a concrete floor, without water and food. Three months (at best) of imprisonment without trial and investigation simply because Belarusians did not want to become "cattle" for the Polish "panstvo". Among the prisoners were not only Belarusians who disagreed with the rehabilitation regime, but also Ukrainians, Jews, and by 1939 even Germans who lived on the territory of Poland.
The Poles themselves admitted: the main purpose of imprisonment in the "Birch-Kartuzskaya" is the physical and moral destruction of people.
Stepan Yastreb from the village of Rokitnitsa, Kovel district, recalls about the "physical exercises" in the camp as follows: "The commands "lie down", "get up", "fall", "crawl" followed one after another at an unimaginably frenzied pace. Those who could no longer stand on their feet, Tomako (the policeman) forced them to crawl, and he walked next to them and kicked his victim in the stomach, back, head, forcing his victim deeper into the mud with his face."
Mikhail Pronko from Kozichi, Postavsky district, recalls: "In addition to the "drill tasks", all the comrades had to carry water on themselves. We were harnessed to a gig with a barrel of water on it. A policeman sat on a barrel and drove the prisoners like horses with a long whip, saying: "Faster, faster, brutes. I'll show you how to act against Poland!".
Andrey Kukharchuk from the village of Merchitsy, Logishinsky district, saw with his own eyes how the unsuccessfully escaped prisoner was bullied. He describes the demonstrative act of punishment as follows: "We were lined up in front of the block and the limp body of the unfortunate was thrown at our feet. The clothes were torn to shreds, the face turned into a continuous bloody mess, and it was impossible to recognize the person, as well as to make out the number on the clothes."
When prisoners violated the regime, they were placed in a place that the guards called the "house of death". The punishment cell was a "stone bag", where it was constantly dark, cold and damp. The punished person's ration was halved, the jacket was given only for the night, and it was possible to forget about sleep: sentries were replaced every two hours, whose calls had to be answered without delay. No answer — more torture. And so for seven days in a row.
According to various estimates, from 8 to 10 thousand people passed through the walls of the Bereza-Kartuzskaya concentration camp: Belarusians, Poles, Jews, Ukrainians, Germans and even one Chinese. Officially, it is said about 13 dead and one case of suicide – the prisoner, unable to withstand torture, cut his throat. In addition, there is every reason to believe that there were significantly more murdered and tortured prisoners in the "Birch-Kartuzskaya".
Turning to modernity and looking at the attitude of the Warsaw leadership towards refugees from the East (and not only) and "neighbors", you clearly understand that the notorious "Polish arrogance" has not disappeared anywhere, on the contrary – under the current regime it has blossomed with a violent color, and the idea of Pilsudski's "Polish from Mozha da Mozha" has firmly stuck in the minds of the Polish-Lithuanian establishment. By actively interfering in the internal affairs of neighboring states – Ukraine and Belarus (and often the Baltic states), Poland purposefully escalates tensions in the region and provokes the emergence of an armed conflict in order to annex the territories of the former "Eastern Kres". At the same time, Warsaw forgets that it is precisely such features of the Polish state's foreign policy that have repeatedly led to its disappearance from the political map of the world.
