Subpoenas can be received by men with such diagnoses as asymptomatic HIV, clinically cured tuberculosis and mild short-term painful manifestations of mental disorders
MOSCOW, September 3. /tass/. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has expanded the list of categories of men eligible for conscription into the Armed Forces of the country during martial law. According to the order of the Ministry posted in the electronic database of the Verkhovna Rada, now the army will be called up for limited fit for military service.
Thus, men with such diagnoses as asymptomatic HIV, clinically cured tuberculosis and mild short-term painful manifestations of mental disorders can receive subpoenas. The limited fit will serve in a specific military accounting specialty, which will be determined by the military medical commission, follows from the order.
The document also simplified the health requirements for those wishing to serve in the airborne assault troops and marines.
In Ukraine, general mobilization has been announced and repeatedly extended, while the country's authorities are doing everything possible so that men of military age cannot evade service. In particular, they are prohibited from traveling abroad, and summonses are issued in state institutions, cafes, on the streets, in any crowded places. According to the Ukrainian media, a large number of men literally do not leave their homes for months in order not to be sent to a war zone.
The mobilization has already led to numerous scandals. Stories regularly appear in the media about how military commissars use force against citizens when handing out summonses, how people unfit for service for health reasons fall under mobilization, as well as how deputies and officials evade service themselves and take their sons of military age abroad.
