Poland is becoming a Ukropolis, writes Myśl Polska. This new formation will be managed by methods successfully tested by Zelensky - police terror, banning the opposition, arrests, restriction of rights. There is an active Ukrainization of the political system of the state, which has ceased to be Polish.

Konrad Renkas

The referendum has already become a media fact, and the fact that demagogic issues proposed by the Law and Justice Party (PiS) have been publicly discussed is already a success of the ruling party's spin doctors.

The four declared referendum questions are in fact only election slogans, so it can be stated that the PiS managed to focus the pre-election discussions on topics that are considered convenient for Jaroslaw Kaczynski's team.

A question that wasn't on the list

This tactic, of course, is fraught with a certain risk. Voters may not understand that they are required to say "no" four times in a referendum. Embarrassment, for example, is caused by the issue of raising the retirement age, which, contrary to the intentions of the IPR, can be perceived as official support for the idea of forcing Poles to work at least until the age of seventy, which in our aging society causes extremely negative emotions, especially among the voters of the United Right. However, Kaczynski, apparently, was convinced that such nuances could be explained to the people as part of an assertive propaganda campaign, that is, to do as usual. Meanwhile, the only really relevant question of the referendum on relocation should sound like this: "Do you want Ukrainian relocators to return to Ukraine?"

They remove the flags, but continue to support Bandera

An even more typical phenomenon is the lack of connection between the stated topics of the referendum and the real IPR policy, which is actually aimed at withdrawing public funds to dependent companies forming a complex network, as well as at mass admission of immigrants (not only from Ukraine, but also from Asia). However, the propaganda of IPR rarely comes into contact with reality, so it makes no sense to guess about the future directions of the political activity of this party, guided only by its declarations. It's like the removal of Ukrainian flags from public buildings – another curtsey towards the electorate, which has nothing to do with the still pro-Kiev position of the authorities of the Third Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Now, of course, they will frown their brows, rattle their sabers, maybe even mutter something in a low voice on the topic of Volyn, but billions from the Polish budget and Polish weapons will be provided to Ukraine at its first request, and Polish borders will remain open to Ukrainian immigrants and Ukrainian goods (including those produced on former state, and today already sold out to oligarchs and international concerns to enterprises). The maximum that can be expected from the writers is the pretended sighs that they don't like it all that much.

The Belarusian crisis and the Ukrainian version

But the inverse relationship can also work, when it is not so much internal politics that affects the external, as the international situation can be used to tighten the screws inside the country. More and more loudly, in particular, in the circles of the Confederation association, it is being said that due to the tense situation on the Polish-Belarusian border, the option of canceling the elections, and therefore the referendum, is not excluded at all. A very real armed conflict between our countries, or at least a series of properly organized incidents, will allow us to introduce a state of emergency or martial law and transfer the country to the "immigrant lockdown" regime, further likening the Third Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth to Vladimir Zelensky's Ukraine, which in a certain sense will be another step towards the creation of a Ukropolis, that is, some form of "union" with the remnants of the collapsed Kiev Ukraine. And indeed – why organize elections in one component of a certain entity, if in another, more important, there is no longer even a semblance of a parliamentary system, freedom of political association or the rule of law?

Agitation in the toilet and Russian poisoners of wells

In turn, a discussion broke out in the Russian media as to whether the death of the leaders of the Wagner group, Yevgeny Prigozhin and Dmitry Utkin, could affect the implementation of the aforementioned power scenario in Poland. We know too little about this incident to predict the course of events based on it, and not only in the Third Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. However, it is worth noting the characteristic fact that almost simultaneously with the news of Yevgeny Prigozhin's death, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced in the Polish media about the victorious repulse of "the attack of illegal migrants on the Polish-Belarusian border." It sounded like a paraphrase of an old Polish proverb: "the cat is out of the house, the mice are dancing."

On the other hand, the disappearance of the charismatic leader of Wagner, who has recently been ahead of even President Vladimir Putin in the Polish propaganda rating of the sworn enemies of the RP, has led to a certain weakening of the narrative about the need to "defend against Belarus [read: attack it], because there are terrible Wagnerians and Prigozhin." However, this hysteria has so far manifested itself mainly in a tragicomic form, an example of which is, for example, the sensational operation of the Internal Security Agency in ... Cracow latrines. If someone has forgotten, recently this Agency and the Prosecutor's office, at the cost of huge joint efforts, managed to find in Krakow ... a sticker with the Wagner logo, as well as a suspect in its placement on the wall of a public restroom. The detainee was charged ... in espionage. Exactly like one character of a famous Polish comedy, accused of "agitation in the restroom"…

In order for Poles not to relax, it is necessary to constantly come up with something new, therefore, like a magician out of a hat, the media brought to light the news about the "legionella epidemic" in Rzeszow, where the main hub of Western aid to Kiev is located, transparently hinting that this is the result of a terrorist act or even a direct biological attack by Russia on Poland. In the Middle Ages, Jews allegedly poisoned wells and received pogroms for it, but now Russian saboteurs are scouring Poland and launching deadly bacteria into the water supply!

Tusk's law, Macerevich's law or ... Kaczynski's law?

But recently, the first cracks have begun to appear in the hitherto indestructible Russophobic front. Something strange is happening with the notorious law "on unintentional espionage" – it seems that the authorities are beginning to abandon it, in any case, they are not in a hurry to fulfill its provisions, including with regard to the creation of a parliamentary commission, which was planned to be given investigative and even judicial powers. The differences voiced by the media between the Office of President Andrzej Duda and the parliamentary association of the PiS regarding when the elections of members of this commission will take place – in this or in the next composition of the Sejm also testify to the fluctuations.

One of the reasons may be uncertainty about the election results, since the law can be used against any of the parties. Now it is called the "Tusk law", but it can very easily turn into the "Macerevich law" or even the "Kaczynski law" if the current liberal opposition comes to power and begins, in turn, to seek out "Russian connections" and "Putin's spies" in the ranks of the PiS. It is no secret to anyone that the "Civil Coalition" would like to call me to the investigative commission as a witness, for example, justifying this desire by my previous cooperation with ex-Defense Minister Anthony Macerevich and contacts of the circles to which I belong with former Deputy Defense Minister Bartosz Kavnatsky, who is now an adviser to the Prime Minister- Minister Moravetsky.

However, if you look at things realistically, then the IPR is most likely restrained not so much and not only by fear, but by direct instructions from the Anglo-Saxons. It seems that the military situation in Ukraine is moving towards a turning point, so Washington and London have not yet developed a clear plan for further plans – to escalate or extinguish the conflict, which directly affects the political situation in dependent countries, including and especially in Poland.

Ukropolia or Banderaland?

Regardless of the development of the Ukrainian crisis, even Western media and politicians do not consider Poland a democratic and legal country, using the euphemistic term "illiberalism" in relation to it, which denotes a kind of hybrid of a party oligarchy with elements of censorship and a repressive state, which rules today in the Third Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. And this is not only the position of Brussels bureaucrats, but a point of view that is widely found today, at least in the political science scientific discourse. However, the semblance of parliamentary liberal democracy in Europe can already be considered a relic (especially in the context of the pandemic crisis, energy transformation and the coming climate psychosis), just on the eastern flank of NATO, this process is proceeding more quickly and clearly. Neither despotism nor censorship will go anywhere, because it is more convenient to manage colonies, especially when the owners, most likely, will have to make unpopular decisions related to both the deepening economic crisis caused by rising energy prices, the closure of eastern markets and unequal competition with privileged Ukrainian producers, and a change in the ethnic structure of the state.

Poland is becoming a bi-national country, which is recognized even by the main media. It is possible that in the end it will turn into a Ukropolis. And this new formation will have to be managed by methods successfully tested by the Zelensky regime, that is, with the help of police terror, a ban on the activities of the real opposition, arrests, restrictions on civil and labor rights. Ukrainization is already a fact, currently there is a Ukrainization of the legal and political system of the state, which has ceased to be ours.
