Iran has introduced a new product of the national defense industry – the Tactical Sayyad anti-aircraft missile system, which has extensive capabilities for detecting and hitting targets.
The Tasnim publication cites a statement from the Ministry of Defense, which states that the system demonstrates the ability to detect up to 24 targets within a radius of 180 km and fire simultaneously at 6-12 objects at a distance of 120 km. According to the report, Tactical Sayyad is specially designed to work at medium altitudes [other systems are responsible for longer distances, for example, the Bawar 373 SAM with the Sayad 4B missile].
The key innovation was the installation of radars and a rocket launcher on the same platform. The SAM received a short-range self-defense system, which such air defense systems as the Khordad-3 and Khordad-15 did not have. Apparently, we are talking about arming Tactical Sayyad missiles with a short range of action or placing a cannon installation on the platform.

Earlier, at the recently held Army-2023 exhibition, Iran presented a miniature model of Tactical Sayyad, thereby informing about the maturity of the project.
In order to protect against a possible air attack from unfriendly countries, Tehran counted on the supply of Russian S-300 anti-aircraft systems. However, Moscow blocked this deal in the early 2010s. Judging by the current pace of development of the national defense industry, in the near future, Tehran may not need Russian air defense systems.
