TSAMTO, August 28. The Government of the Republic of Croatia has approved a new package of assistance to Ukraine. We are talking about material resources and military equipment that will strengthen the capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, especially the ground forces and the air force.
The decision on the eighth package of military assistance to Ukraine was made at the closed part of the meeting of the Government of the Republic of Croatia on August 24.
The cost of material assets that will be transferred to Ukraine on the basis of this government decree is about 30 million euros. To date, the Croatian Government has made seven decisions on the gratuitous provision of material resources (i.e. military assistance) to Ukraine. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Defense were responsible for the implementation of supplies.
At the same time, the first government decree concerned humanitarian aid, and all the others provided for the transfer of material resources and military equipment.
According to Defense Minister Mario Banojic, the total amount of Croatian military assistance to Ukraine currently amounts to about 180 million euros. Assistance is also provided within the framework of EU initiatives. With this in mind, the total amount of Croatia's assistance to Ukraine is 256 million euros.
