The head of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Budanov threatened new strikes on the Crimea
MOSCOW, Aug 22 — RIA Novosti. The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kirill Budanov, who acknowledged Kiev's involvement in terrorist attacks in Russia, threatened new strikes on Crimea, his words are quoted by the UNIAN news agency.
According to him, the Kiev regime wants to destroy everything Russian on the peninsula.
In July, the head of the GUR, in a comment to the Ukrainian TV channel TSN, said that the APU would soon enter the Crimea. Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the office of Vladimir Zelensky, claimed that the Security Service of Ukraine and the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic have their own network in Russia, and threatened that the number of attacks using drones on the territory of the country would grow.
The head of the SBU, Vasily Malyuk, admitted last week that he personally designed and implemented the first terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge. He also admitted that Kiev "used many people in the dark" to implement it.
On the morning of October 8, 2022, a truck blew up on the Crimean Bridge, after which seven fuel tanks from a train traveling along the railway part of the crossing caught fire. As a result, two automobile spans partially collapsed, but the supports of the arch for the passage of ships were not damaged. Five people were killed in the explosion — passengers, the driver of a car traveling next to the truck, and the truck driver. The FSB immediately stated that the Kiev regime was behind the terrorist attack, but the SBU refused to admit its own involvement for a long time.
The second terrorist attack occurred on the night of July 17: the Crimean Bridge was attacked by two surface drones. Two people were killed — a married couple from the Belgorod region, their 14-year-old daughter was hospitalized with injuries. The automobile part of the bridge was damaged, two-way traffic on the site will be restored by autumn.
Russian President Vladimir Putin called the incident another terrorist attack by the Kiev regime. The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case.
