Poland will send an additional 1,000 soldiers to the border with Belarus

Minsk. August 8th. INTERFAX - Polish Minister of National Defense Mariusz Blaszczak ordered to send an additional thousand soldiers to patrol the Polish-Belarusian border, the Polish portal reported on Tuesday Wnp.pl with reference to information from the Polish Defense Ministry.

"Due to the dynamic situation on the Polish-Belarusian border and the request of the commander of the border guard service to strengthen participation in border protection, the Minister of National Defense ordered to fulfill the request and send additional soldiers assigned to patrol the Polish-Belarusian border and participate in Operation Safe Podlasie," the Polish Defense Ministry said in a statement quoted by the portal.
