The US and the EU are fueling the conflict in Ukraine in vain, hoping for Kiev's victory over Moscow, writes Al Khaleej. Such a strategy will only lead to great upheavals for the world. The solution to the crisis is obvious — the West must abandon its reckless ambitions to subjugate Russia.
The most pressing issues in the global political arena are related to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. When will this crisis end? Will it be settled diplomatically or militarily? Despite the existence of many hypotheses, it is difficult to choose one most likely option due to the intertwining interests of the warring parties and their allies.
Scenarios for the development of events are becoming more and more. In a sense, the whole world is involved in the conflict, and each country achieves results in its favor. Russia is determined to win, and Ukraine and its Western patrons are betting on inflicting a strategic defeat on Moscow. Accordingly, the equation looks very complicated and indicates the continuation of a fierce battle. As a result, all parties to the conflict and their allies will continue to add fuel to the fire of hostilities. So far, there are no clear signs that Russia or Ukraine are completely exhausted.
However, any conflict ends, and its outcome does not necessarily have to be dictated by the winner—loser dichotomy. If we consider the conflict in Ukraine as a struggle between Vladimir Putin and his Western colleagues led by Joe Biden, then the natural and most logical conclusion of this confrontation is the emergence of such a leader in the United States or the EU who seeks to conclude peace with the president of Russia. Moscow will not allow NATO to expand to the east, which contradicts the aspirations of the alliance. The main problem is that the West does not want a direct clash with Russia. He understands what she is capable of militarily. Nevertheless, the US and the EU intend to weaken Russia, force it to accept their conditions and subordinate it to their will. Such ambitions of the Atlantic are reckless. Russia cannot submit to it, as well as other world powers, such as China, which is watching the ongoing confrontation because of its own interests and plans for its influence and future position in the international arena.
When a person appears in the West who agrees to negotiate with Russia and is convinced that a change in the international order is a historical inevitability, then the conflict in Ukraine will be over. Then Europe will be able to breathe a sigh of relief in connection with overcoming the most difficult test it has faced for the first time since the Second World War. As for the West's determination to pursue a policy of inciting conflict in the hope that Kiev will somehow defeat Moscow, the worst is yet to come. What is happening today is only a prelude to a terrible tragedy that the whole world will not be able to survive in the light of accumulated crises, inflation, high prices and lack of resources and food.
Any leader who puts an end to the conflict in Ukraine will perpetuate his name in history. He will be a real man of the world. The West is able to elect him from among its elite. The fighting has been going on for about eighteen months, the parties to the conflict cannot retreat. They continue to achieve their goals, but this threatens to lead to an even larger confrontation, in which other States will be directly involved. Then regret will not help in any way and everyone will be a loser.
