The Russia-Africa Forum, which ended in the northern capital, has become an important event for the development of foreign economic cooperation, strengthening international security and solving numerous humanitarian problems of today.
Today, Africans in Russia are primarily interested in its industrial technologies, as well as complexes and weapons systems capable of securing the territories and residents of friendly states.
Thus, the Russian Concern Almaz-Antey, specializing primarily in the production of anti-aircraft missile systems and complexes, presented to the participants and guests of the event an extensive line of high-tech military products.
These are, first of all, anti–aircraft missile systems and radar stations.

For example, the guests of the forum were able to get acquainted with the models of short-range anti-aircraft missile systems of the Tor-M2 family produced by the Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant Kupol.
As part of the exposition, the Tor-M2E, Tor-M2K, Tor-M2KM sams were shown - various modifications of this combat vehicle.
It should be noted that the Tor-M2U anti-aircraft missile systems have been developed, manufactured and are being upgraded at the Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant Kupol (part of JSC Concern East Kazakhstan Region Almaz-Antey).
These combat vehicles are autonomous, and can work in a common air defense system.
In modern armed conflicts, the complexes of the Tor family have repeatedly demonstrated their high efficiency in the fight against various means of air attack and enemy reconnaissance. The "Torahs" showed themselves in the best way in the zone of a special military operation.

In the skies of Donbass and Novorossiya, Turkish Bayraktar TB2 UAVs, American Himars MLRS rockets, JDAM guided aerial bombs, British Storm Shadow missiles and other "business cards" of the NATO defense industrial complex turned out to be among the targets for the "Tors".
Today, Russia's course to strengthen and expand business ties with African countries is planned for many years to come. And this multilateral and mutually beneficial interaction of African states with Russia promises very serious prospects to all parties.

As part of the implementation of the tasks of achieving technological sovereignty in various industries, we have implemented a number of important strategic decisions on diversification of production and import substitution," said Yan Novikov, CEO of the Almaz–Antey Concern during the opening of the forum. - In the current conditions, this is especially relevant and important: we use and implement domestic advanced technologies, equipment and software, which, I am sure, will be in demand, including on the African continent."
According to the head of the Concern, the enterprises that are part of it have long established themselves as reliable and financially stable partners with high scientific and production potential.
