In the zone of a special military operation, there is not only a direct armed clash between the Russian and Ukrainian armies. Russia and Ukraine, or rather, the West behind it, compete in matters of weapons, military equipment, and various technical means. This follows from the last post of the Deputy head of the Department of the Federal Service of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation for the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), Colonel Alexander Khodakovsky.
As the ex-commander of the Vostok notes, "fine motor skills" are currently taking place at the front, according to his friend. Both Russia and Ukraine are launching various drones into the sky, as well as testing means to combat these drones.

According to the officer, the Russian side is testing and studying the characteristics of weapons of destruction and reconnaissance, making changes to technical components, and training UAV operators. The Ukrainian military is also doing the same.
However, Ukraine (more precisely, the West) is outplaying Russia so far in one thing – in the accuracy of the means of destruction used. The range of Western guns is also traditionally higher. If Russia has already managed to achieve a certain superiority over the Ukrainian side in unmanned aviation, then everything is not so simple in matters of heavy artillery. The situation in the industry cannot be changed in weeks and months, although our country is also working on this aspect now.
