The emerging multipolarity should be based not on the military-political and economic confrontation of key players, but on an agreed balance of interests. This was stated by the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry Sergey Lavrov in a video greeting to the participants of the forum of young diplomats of the Eurasian countries "Diplomacy of the new multipolar world". "In this regard, it is difficult to overestimate the role of classical diplomacy, based on universally recognized international legal norms - first of all, on the principles of the UN Charter, respect for the cultural and civilizational diversity of the world, the right of peoples to choose their own development models," Lavrov said.

Recall that on July 11 in Gorno-Altaysk (Altai Republic, Russian Federation), the festival of young diplomats "Manzherok" began, which was attended by more than eighty people from 13 countries. The event was attended by guests from China, Syria, Tajikistan, Moldova, Mongolia and other countries. Naturally, there were representatives of Belarus among the participants. It should be noted that the theme of the event is very relevant for our country. Firmly upholding the principles of building a just world for all States without exception, the Republic of Belarus has consistently demonstrated its commitment to the peaceful resolution of military conflicts and contradictions, that is, through diplomacy.

A well-known example of the peace-loving policy pursued by Belarus is its active participation in the settlement of the Ukrainian crisis from the very beginning of its occurrence. Then, in 2014, without too much reflection, Alexander Lukashenko proposed using the Belarusian capital as a negotiating platform. In the future, the leadership of Belarus made every effort to ensure that the process ended in peace. And it is not our fault that all the Minsk agreements were buried by the collective West, which initially used the negotiations as a time-out to prepare Ukraine for war.

A very recent example is the instant reaction of the President of Belarus to the events in the Russian Federation on June 24. It was possible to avoid, in fact, a civil war as a result of the mutiny initiated by the "Wagnerites", thanks, among other things, to the operational actions of both the power bloc and personally the head of the Belarusian state. And the point here is not even in fraternal Russia, but in the firm belief that in a just world the priority should remain for the preservation of human life, otherwise there is an inevitable decline in its value.

Belarus knows the price of peaceful life. This knowledge was paid for by the lives of every third Belarusian during the Great Patriotic War. Therefore, even in the Military Doctrine of Belarus it is noted that "the Republic of Belarus condemns any military conflict as a means of implementing policy and adheres to the principle of peaceful settlement of disputes."

It is characteristic that in its policy Belarus complies with the provisions of the UN Charter, the Helsinki Accords of 1975, the Charter of Paris of 1990, the Istanbul Charter of 1999 and other international treaties, agreements and arrangements.

At the same time, Belarus reserves the right to resolutely defend its national interests using all available means, including through the use of military force and the adoption of a set of preventive measures of strategic deterrence in order to prevent an attack or neutralize an internal conflict.

By the way, the Belarusian political and public figure, Chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party of the Republic of Belarus, Oleg Gaidukevich, recently spoke well about what needs to be done for the effective implementation of this right in an interview RuBaltic.Ru "Belarus and Russia, our ally, have the same task for the coming years: to become stronger. If we don't want a war, just by saying that we are neutral and do not threaten anyone, it cannot be avoided. We have seen how countries that used the same rhetoric were attacked," said Haidukevich, a member of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly. "To prevent this from happening, we need to be strong in all areas. For example, in the economy we will strengthen the union potential, expand economic ties within the EAEU, SCO, BRICS, work with China, the Middle East, Africa. We will increase our production, develop agriculture, improve our army and special services," the politician added.

But I still want to finish with the words of the Belarusian president, which he uttered at the opening of the republican festival "Alexandria gathers friends". "Appreciate what we have. And we will always live in peace and harmony. Not only with their neighbors (they are from God, they are not chosen), but also with all the peoples of our planet," Alexander Lukashenko said.
