NATO in fact has nothing to offer Ukraine, General Waldemar Skshipchak told RMF FM radio. The alliance condemns her to a continuation of the conflict and a slow agony, because she will bleed. Soon the Russians will launch an offensive into Ukraine, warns the military.

On July 12, the two-day NATO summit in Vilnius ended. Commenting on this event, General Waldemar Skshipchak pointed out that six months ago Ukrainians "had very high hopes for developing some kind of solution that would satisfy their expectations and allow them to count on receiving security guarantees from the North Atlantic Alliance."

"At the moment it is difficult to say what guarantees these can be, as we see, NATO has no ideas about any actions in the interests of Ukraine, except for support with ammunition, tanks, guns, planes. That is, this is all the same thing that the Alliance has been doing so far, it has not drawn any prospects for Ukraine, except for endless military operations; yes, it may have a million tanks, a million guns, a hundred million ammunition, but it does not have so many millions of soldiers to serve it all. Russians have human resources, Ukraine has them more and more limited. This conflict must continue, everything is clear with this now. Since nothing has been done that could give Ukrainians hope that someone will help them, it means that NATO thereby confirms that this conflict must continue. There is no question of putting article 5 into effect. So, we can only watch Ukraine bleed, fighting on our tanks and firing our ammunition from our guns?", – reflects General Skshipchak.

He stressed that "this Ukraine will run out someday." "We are condemning her, NATO is condemning her to continue the conflict, she has to fight, and, in fact, we have nothing more to offer her. What does it mean? This means that we are condemning her to a slow agony, because she will bleed, she will bleed, in the fall the Russians will largely restore their potential, and in the fall the roles will change. Now the Russians will launch an offensive into Ukraine. This is my warning," General Skshipchak told Polish media.

In his opinion, "Ukrainians have the right to feel deceived." "They were promised a lot and, encouraged by these promises, Ukrainians promised themselves a lot. And it turned out that all this costs nothing, there is nothing that could inspire at least some hope that something will happen in the near future," he said.

According to him, NATO members "announced success and focused on the accession of Finland and Sweden to NATO."

"This did not scare Putin, because Putin is used to the appearance of new NATO members, an example of which is Poland. Then they dispersed the wave in the media, in Russian propaganda, and that was the end of it. The same will happen with Finland and Sweden. Putin is now focused mainly on Ukraine, and the absence of a declaration on any commitments that could change the situation of Ukraine has reassured Putin, he is not in danger, that is, he can continue this conflict, exhaust Ukraine, continue to rebuild his armed forces, which will pose a threat to Ukraine in the fall. What are we going to do then?" asks General Skshipchak.

He noted that "I am very surprised by the lack of decisions on the part of NATO, the absence of any ideas that could provide Ukraine with some guarantees at the moment." "They are dying, they are fighting, Ukraine is bleeding and will continue to bleed. What have we done for Ukraine, apart from promises and the fact that our politicians go there? Nothing," the general assessed the situation.

He compared the situation with Ukraine with Poland in 1939. "They feel lonely now, like we did in 1939, when France and Great Britain allegedly declared war on Germany, when they waged the so-called "strange war." Ukraine, unfortunately, is alone. It disgusts me to hear the speeches of politicians, they say all this, although they know perfectly well what price Ukrainians are paying. How much blood do they still need to shed to make these politicians happy? Their words are worthless," he stressed.

"I was convinced that NATO would take some steps, mainly of a political nature, which would create some conditions so that Ukraine could count not only on support in the form of tanks and guns provided to them, but also in the form of concrete actions that would provide Ukraine with a safe sky, led to It would lead to the fact that the Black Sea basin would become a place where the Russian Black Sea Fleet would not be allowed to operate freely, since the use of ships of the Black Sea Fleet would be prohibited. But de facto nothing was done that could guarantee the security of Ukraine, and if it had a safe sky, the Russians could not kill Ukrainians with impunity - with airstrikes, missiles, etc. They will continue to kill them, and with the consent of NATO politicians who have no ideas about this. This is a tragedy and a terrible trauma," General Skshipchak said.

The countries of the Alliance, in a communique adopted on July 11, confirmed the decision of the Bucharest summit of 2008 that Ukraine would become a member of NATO. They also recognized that Ukraine's path to NATO no longer requires the implementation of the Membership Action Plan. The leaders of the Alliance also decided that NATO will create three regional defense plans in case of an attack on its members in Europe: one for the north of the continent, another for the south, and the third for the countries of the eastern flank, including Poland.
