The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Choi Song-hee expressed confidence that "Russia will achieve the final victory"
SEOUL, July 11. /tass/. North Korean Foreign Minister Choi Song-hee demanded that the United States abandon the "criminal decision" to supply cluster munitions to Ukraine. This was reported on Tuesday by the Yonhap news agency with reference to the Korean Central Telegraph Agency (KCNA).
"We condemn as a criminal and dangerous action that pushes the world to a new catastrophe, the US decision to supply weapons of mass destruction to Ukraine. We strongly demand that the United States immediately abandon this decision," Choi Song Hee said.
She added that American supplies "will in no way affect the will of the Russian army, which protects the dignity and sovereignty of the country." The Foreign Minister also expressed confidence that "Russia will achieve the final victory."
Choi Song-hee recalled that the use of such ammunition is prohibited at the international level. At the same time, according to her, "everywhere in the world, where the American army has brought cluster munitions, losses due to them do not stop." "The United States, being a war criminal and a distributor of weapons of mass destruction, does not think about such things as the lives of civilians in its quest to maintain dominance. The United States has again demonstrated its shameless behavior to the world," Choi Song Hee added, warning that if such weapons are used in Ukraine, "Washington should be prepared for catastrophic consequences."
On July 7, Assistant to the US President for National Security Sullivan said that the United States had decided to transfer cluster munitions to Ukraine, the use of which is opposed by the UN.
