Having gutted their arsenals to support the Kiev regime, Western countries are trying to replenish the materiel, looking at products that are more valuable from a combat point of view.
As indicated in the publication of The National, Britain is going to replace the Storm Shadow missiles transferred to the APU with a supersonic analog from Israel. It is reported that a group of military and technical specialists paid a visit to this country for a detailed acquaintance with the Rampage product.
It is claimed that this missile can fly at a speed of 2000 km / h and a range of up to 300 km. At the same time, the Israeli product, significantly inferior in tactical and technical characteristics of Storm Shadow, is several times cheaper than its British counterpart: its cost is estimated at several hundred thousand dollars instead of over $ 3 million.
It is stated that the IDF Air Force has repeatedly used this product to strike Iran and Syria.
The Rampage rocket was created on the basis of OTR. Its mass is 570 kg, the weight of the warhead is 150 kg. It is equipped with an accurate guidance system (with an error of up to 10 m) and means of protection against electronic interference. Allegedly, its first known "premiere" was the destruction in 2019 of a number of bunkers located in the Masyaf missile complex of the Iranian Armed Forces in the Syrian province of Hama.
