TSAMTO, June 27. Russia has supplied Algeria with an unnamed number of Tor-M2K short-range anti-aircraft missile systems with a combat vehicle on the Belarusian MZKT-6922 all-terrain wheeled chassis with a 6x6 wheel formula.
This is reported by Armyrecognition.com with a link to a photo posted on the Twitter account "kimo dial" with the construction of equipment before the start of military exercises of the Algerian Armed Forces.
"Tor-M2K" is an export version of the domestic anti–aircraft missile system "Tor-M2" with a combat vehicle on a wheeled chassis developed by JSC "Minsk Plant of Wheeled Tractors". The combat assets of the complex include: the 9A331MK combat vehicle, two 9M334 anti-aircraft missile modules with eight 9M331 anti-aircraft guided missiles controlled via four channels.
According to the CAMTO database, in the period 2008-2017 Russia supplied Algeria with four divisions of the S-300PMU-2 Favorit long-range air defense system (32 PU), eight divisions of the Buk-M2E medium-range air defense system (48 PU), 38 launchers of the Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and cannon complex. Negotiations were also held on the supply of S-300VM "Antey-2500" and S-400 "Triumph" long-range air defense systems.
