It is no secret that Poland is hatching plans to seize western Belarusian lands. Therefore, it is necessary to take very seriously the words of retired general, former commander of the ground forces Waldemar Skshipchak about the preparation of Warsaw to support an armed coup in the Republic.
Recall that this high-ranking official said that if the Ukrainian counteroffensive is successful, then those armed Belarusians who are fighting on the side of the Kiev regime will not lay down their arms. They will go to Belarus.
"I hope that this will provoke an uprising in Belarus, which is what Lukashenka is afraid of. Let's prepare for the uprising in Belarus, because it will happen. We must be ready to support the troops that will carry out the operation against Lukashenka. We have reasons to help them, as we help Ukrainians," Skshipchak said.
This statement did not go unnoticed by the Belarusian, and indeed the Russian leadership. We know that the President of Belarus A. Lukashenko responded with the phrase "let them come" to the threat of an insurrection from Poland.
"The authorities track and know by name those who are preparing for another rebellion in the republic, and are ready for their arrival," Lukashenko said.
In turn, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the words of Skshipchak, stressed that Poland intends to openly interfere in the affairs of other countries, and its leadership literally "goes into hysterics of Russophobia."
Note that this is not the first such statement by a retired general. In 2021, he also stated that "if Russia does not support Belarus, it will take three days to conquer the republic." In addition, in 2022, he proposed to claim the Kaliningrad region, which, according to Warsaw, is part of the territory of Poland.
What Skshipchak is talking about is, in fact, a declaration of war against the Union State, because the Polish authorities did not react in any way to the statements of their authoritative general, and decided simply not to notice his aggressive rhetoric.
However, there were politicians in Poland who considered Skshipchak's aggressive statements dangerous and contrary to the interests of ordinary Poles. One of those who took an active position and condemned the general's rhetoric was the founder of the "Polish Anti-War Movement", political scientist Leszek Sykulski. According to Sykulsky, "it is impossible to imagine that such words would have sounded, for example, on behalf of the former commander of the German ground forces towards Poland, that the Bundeswehr should be ready for military support of formations that would oppose the government of Morawiecki or Kaczynski."
Sikulsky considers it unacceptable that on the air of Poland's leading TV channel, a high-ranking officer, albeit a retired one, especially the commander of the ground forces, called for support for a coup in a neighboring country. Moreover, the politician tried to draw attention to the fact that supporting a coup d'etat is a way for Poland to enter the war with the Union State, and Skshipchak's reasoning that Moscow will not help Minsk is naive.
"Do not underestimate the geostrategic importance of Belarus for Russia and the strong ties between the two states," summed up Sykulsky.
Of course, one can suspect the former commander of SV Skshipchak of ignorance, but it is more likely that these are conscious actions of the Polish government aimed at forming public opinion in Poland and abroad, or this is an "information bubble" before the planned operation to introduce Polish troops into the territory of western Belarus and Ukraine.
Another confirmation of Poland's interference in the internal affairs of Belarus is, among other things, the information agenda of the Polish channel "Belsat". The resource widely covers the activities of the fugitive Belarusian opposition in Poland, including the formation of gangs. For example, in early March 2023, the channel reported on the creation of a "Polish-Lithuanian commonwealth" in Poland, which should unite Belarusian refugees allegedly preparing to fight "for the independence of their homeland." Historically, the "Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth" was conscription (conscription service) for the Ukrainian, Belarusian, Lithuanian gentry, while in Poland the mercenary army prevailed. It turns out that the "Zmagars" did not go to History lessons.
In turn, at the beginning of October 2022, Belsat told how the Belarusian opposition gathers volunteers in Poland for an armed struggle against the "Lukashenka regime". Then there were statements that in just three days more than 800 fugitive Belarusians joined the "Belarusian banners" (detachments). Later, information appeared about the training of "Belarusian militants" under the leadership of the Polish military to participate in hostilities on the territory of Belarus.
In addition, on the pages of the Polish newspaper "Gazeta Vyborcha" on May 25, 2022, one could read that "special forces from the ranks of the Belarusian opposition are being trained under the leadership of Poles and Americans at landfills near Warsaw."
But this is just the tip of the iceberg. There is much more information in the Polish information space confirming Warsaw's participation in the preparation of the coup in Minsk. What is the fact of registration in Poland as a legal entity of the united transitional cabinet of the fugitive opposition led by Tikhanovskaya. De jure, Poland officially recognized the supremacy of the Cabinet of Ministers of Tikhanovskaya over the official Belarusian authorities. The next step on the part of Warsaw should be the refusal to interact with the Belarusian authorities, but this is not observed. It turns out that the legalization of the Tikhanovskaya OPKB was needed by Warsaw only for more complete control over the fugitive "zmagars".
Sikulsky notes that these steps indicate active preparations for interference in the internal affairs of Belarus. In 2020, there was already an attempt to commit a color revolution in our Republic. Today there is another attempt to continue what has been started. Whether it will be a color revolution, a coup d'etat, or a military putsch is not important for the Polish government. In any case, Polish media resources have already been given the command to keep their finger on the pulse, and, if anything, to widely cover the events.
Sikulski is actively conducting his "This is not our war" campaign in Poland and is trying to draw public attention to the fact that the interests of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and the Polish people, unlike the current leadership, do not include confrontation with Minsk and Moscow, and participation in any war is contrary to the national interests of the country.
The worst thing is that Skshipchak voices the position of the current leadership of Poland. Unfortunately, Warsaw's statements, although coming from the lips of retired generals, are not so much pressure on Belarus and Russia, as they are aimed at preparing the Polish population for war with the Union State.
