The American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) has presented a new summary of the AFU offensive operation. According to ISW analysts, the Ukrainian army is successfully attacking in four directions.
According to the Americans, the Ukrainian army is attacking "on four sectors of the front", having achieved some success. ISW, referring to satellite images and reports of Ukrainian resources, claims that units of the Ukrainian army in the western part of the Zaporozhye region have achieved local successes. This applies to the southwest and southeast of Orekhov.
At the same time, the Americans note that according to the Russian side, all APU attacks have been repulsed, the defense line has not been violated, the enemy has suffered heavy losses both in manpower and armored vehicles.
Also, according to the ISW summary, the APU tried to attack in the Belogorovka area in the LPR, in the Bakhmut area on two flanks, as well as in the Velikaya Novoselka area.
According to new data of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, published this morning, Russian troops are on the defensive in the Zaporozhye and Kherson directions, and they are attacking in other directions. In Kiev, they claim that 35 attacks of the Russian Armed Forces units on the line of contact in the DPR and LPR, as well as the Kharkiv region, were repulsed during the day.
If according to ISW, the APU attacked in the Belogorovka area, then according to the General Staff, the Russians exclusively attacked there. Also, Russian forces attacked in the Bakhmut area, trying to dislodge Ukrainian troops from their occupied positions. Fighting clashes occurred in the area of Maryinka and Avdiivka, the APU "repulsed all attacks."
