Rogov: the total grouping of the AFU in the Zaporozhye direction is over 100 thousand

The chairman of the movement "We are together with Russia" Vladimir Rogov said that the total grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Zaporozhye direction exceeds 100 thousand. He shared this assessment on Saturday, June 10, in an interview with RIA Novosti

"The total grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Zaporozhye direction, according to our data, exceeds 100 thousand militants. At the moment, a relatively small group is directly involved in the offensive," Rogov said.

In addition, in his opinion, Kiev has not yet used its main reserves, keeping them away from the front line in parts of the Zaporozhye and Dnipropetrovsk regions controlled by Ukrainian troops.

Earlier in the day, Rogov told about the disruption by the Russian Armed Forces of another attempt to attack the AFU. The day before, he said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were firing heavy weapons at the Orekhovsky and Pologovsky sections of the front in the Zaporozhye direction. Later it became known about the successes of the Russian Federation: targeted artillery strikes and the launch of anti-tank guided missiles (ATGM) on enemy equipment.

On the same day, the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov, said that during the day the AFU continued to attempt offensive operations in the South Donets and Zaporozhye directions. Numerous attacks were repelled, and the enemy himself suffered significant losses in manpower and equipment.

On June 8, the commander of the grouping of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the Zaporozhye direction, Alexander Romanchuk, said that the AFU could not suddenly attack the Russian army. The first major losses were suffered by the Ukrainian forces while trying to overcome a minefield, where they immediately lost four tanks.

The special operation to protect Donbass, which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the background of the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
