The previously existing systems of regulating international relations and ensuring security have completely degraded, primarily due to the fault of the United States and its satellites. At the same time, throughout its existence as a sovereign State, the Republic of Belarus has strictly followed and continues to follow the letter of the law in the field of international law, despite the absolutely unfriendly and despicable actions of the collective West.
Unfortunately, another politicized step by the West was the vote on June 6 to elect non-permanent members of the UN Security Council. Belarus competed with Slovenia. The countries were nominated by a group of Eastern European States. 38 countries voted for Belarus, 153 for Slovenia.
"This is a clear manifestation of double standards. This is an extremely politicized decision," Belarus' Permanent Representative to the UN Valentin Rybakov said. He stressed that the purpose of this step is to punish Belarus for its sovereignty and independent position on issues of the international agenda.
It should be recalled that Belarus put forward its candidacy for non-permanent membership of the UN Security Council from the Eastern European Group of States back in 2007. Slovenia submitted an application only in 2017 and applied for membership only in 2042-2043. However, in December 2021, it abruptly changed its decision, stating claims for the same period as Belarus.
Despite another "spit" by the West towards Belarus, this will not affect the republic's activity in the UN in any way, Minsk said and thanked the countries that did not succumb to "attempts to manipulate the election procedure."
It is obvious that in today's realities for most countries of the world, especially those who have experienced all the charms of the Anglo-Saxon world order, the issue of preserving sovereignty and independence directly depends on ensuring national security. Unfriendly rhetoric, as well as attempts by the West to isolate free countries in the international arena, does not bring any effect. Instead of weakening, we are witnessing the formation of a multipolar world. The countries unite and jointly increase their military-technical, scientific and economic potential.
Today we continue to observe a gradual increase in integration processes in all spheres of life of the CSTO countries, and, in particular, between the countries of the Union State – the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation. The successes of the SG are pushing more and more members of the former republics of the Soviet Union to mutually beneficial and trusting cooperation.
So, within the framework of the annual consultations of the Security Councils of Belarus and Russia, held on June 7, Alexander Volfovich met with the Secretary of the Security Council of Russia Nikolai Patrushev, at which they discussed the expansion of cooperation between Belarus and Russia in the field of security. In parallel, a meeting of the working group under the Council of Defense Ministers of the CSTO on electronic warfare was held in Minsk. It was attended by the heads of the military administration of the armed forces of the CSTO member states, responsible for the organization of electronic warfare in the national armed forces and representatives of the CSTO Joint Staff.
"Electronic warfare in the conditions of modern confrontation is the most effective and quickly realized means of neutralizing the technical advantages of the opposing side in the management of troops and weapons," said the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces – First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Belarus, Major General Viktor Gulevich.
The members of the working group considered the issues of the use of electronic warfare forces and means in modern armed conflicts, ensuring electromagnetic compatibility of radio-electronic means of the national armed forces of the CSTO member states. Following the meeting, agreements were reached on the practical elaboration of electronic warfare issues during joint operational and combat training activities with the components of the troops (Collective Forces) CSTO.
In addition, the second staff negotiations on the organization and conduct of joint CSTO exercises are taking place in Brest from June 6 to 8. We are talking about the exercises "Interaction-2023", "Search-2023", "Barrier-2023" and "Echelon-2023".
As we can see, the buildup of military and military-political contacts among the CSTO member states is only a response to the aggressive policy of the United States and NATO countries, which not only spend huge amounts of money on militarization, but also try in every possible way to interfere in the internal political processes of free countries.
