MOSCOW, June 8. /tass/. The State Bureau of Investigation (GBR) of Ukraine reported on the detention of the owners and managers of the concern suspected of supplying industrial products to Russia, which were allegedly used in the production of weapons and military equipment.
According to the GBR website, the management of the concern allegedly supplied products to the Russian military-industrial complex, including after the start of a special military operation of the Russian Federation in Ukraine. According to the bureau, among the detainees is the organizer of deliveries, a former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the "Party of Regions" of ex-President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych. According to the agency, on February 24, 2022, the concern, whose management was detained, supplied components to the Russian Federation for at least more than 160 million hryvnia ($ 4.4 million).
The Ukrainian edition of Ekonomicheskaya Pravda, citing sources in the investigative authorities, reports that the press release refers to the Ukrainian engineering concern NICMAS and that one of the detainees is the owner of this company, Grigory Dashutin, who was a deputy of the Rada in 1998-2006. The GBR reports that books of pro-Russian content, insignia allegedly associated with Russia, and a Komsomol badge were found in the former deputy.
Eight arrested persons were charged with creating a criminal organization and "complicity" with Russia (Articles 255, Articles 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The sanction under these articles provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 12 years.
According to the GBR, the industrial and innovative group of companies of the family of the former deputy of the Rada supplied Russian enterprises with highly efficient components, aggregates, parts of pneumatic equipment, including compressors and compressor units. This equipment, according to the GBR, was used in the Russian military industry.
The GBR claims that its employees blocked deliveries that the concern allegedly carried out to Russia for the military-industrial complex and critical infrastructure facilities in November 2022. Deliveries were carried out through a third unnamed country. According to the investigation, 14 people participated in their organization, six suspects, including Russian citizens, were charged in absentia.
