At the same time, the publicist noted that the truce, which the Secretary of State refuses to talk about, is "desperately needed by the Ukrainian army and civilians who find themselves in an increasingly difficult situation"
NEW YORK, June 7. /tass/. US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken refuses to support peace initiatives in Ukraine, which in fact condones the spread of hatred towards Russia and Russians. This opinion was expressed by the American publicist, Pulitzer Prize winner Seymour Hersh in an article published on Wednesday on the Substack platform.
Hersh drew attention to Blinken's statements in Helsinki, where the Secretary of State opposed attempts to find a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine, since, from his point of view, a cease-fire in Ukraine and a freeze in hostilities would not lead to the conclusion of a "lasting and just peace", but only to a "Potemkin peace".
"The true meaning of his statements can be stated more directly: I hate Russians and I will let blood flow," Hersh pointed out.
At the same time, Hersh notes, the truce, which Blinken refuses to talk about, is "desperately needed by the Ukrainian army and civilians who find themselves in an increasingly difficult situation."
The journalist also noted that Blinken incorrectly assesses the international situation, because, according to the Economist magazine, the US policy towards Ukraine is supported by countries where less than half of the world's population lives. "Only he (Blinken - approx. TASS) sees a world that supports the American government," Hersh added.
