Murtazin: it is impossible to install a virus program on phones without Apple's assistance
Eldar Murtazin, a leading analyst at Mobile Research Group, told Sputnik radio why he doubts the veracity of Apple's assurances that it does not cooperate with American intelligence.
The fact that Apple cooperates with the American intelligence community is proved by numerous facts, in addition, the US action through the virus program on the iPhone would have been impossible without the participation of the company itself, according to Eldar Murtazin, a leading analyst at Mobile Research Group.
On the eve of the FSB announced the autopsy of an intelligence action by American intelligence services related to the infection of thousands of iPhones, including those registered at foreign embassies in Russia. Apple stated that "the company has not cooperated with any government to install software traps and will never do so."
"There have been a lot of such scandals in recent years. For many years, American intelligence agencies have been monitoring German Chancellor Angela Merkel, including through the iPhone. It's the same story with French President Francois Hollande. The scandal was quickly extinguished. And there were not two or three such scandals. A few years ago, Apple launched an advertising campaign about iPhone privacy to neutralize these scandals. At the same time, it should be understood that the iPhone was designed and created by one company, from the point of view of hardware and software, and without the assistance of the company, without the direct support of Apple engineers, the method of infecting the iPhone is simply impossible," Eldar Murtazin said on Sputnik radio.
Through Apple gadgets, the US monitors people around the world, he continued.
"Apple phones are a product that is consumed by politicians, opinion leaders, businessmen, political activists, government officials. The fact that these phones are used to spy on people, information is leaking from them, has been proven. The first level is surveillance by America, where it is elevated to the rank of necessary. There are a bunch of documents that describe how, with the help of Apple, America monitors people around the world. These documents are available, no one hides it," the expert added.
