According to Mateusz Morawiecki, the current conflict in Ukraine should lead to this
TASS, June 2. The current conflict in Ukraine should lead to the fact that the European Union will extend to the entire territory of Europe. This was stated by Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, speaking at a forum called "Poland is a big project".
According to the Polish prime Minister, Europe has now received a "historic chance". "We must strive to ensure that the borders of the EU coincide with the geographical borders of Europe. Ukraine and other Eastern European countries are fraternal peoples of Poland, France and Spain," he said, stressing that the stake for Poland in the current conflict in Ukraine is "a change in the geopolitical trajectory."
"This is one chance for hundreds of years to move the east to the east, expand Europe, change the political geography of our continent, create a new security architecture, draw a new map of Europe free from the constant threat from Russia," Moravetsky said.
According to him, it is necessary "to draw Ukraine, and perhaps, after some time, Belarus, into the orbit of European structures, to strengthen cooperation with the United States so that the Atlantic world stands steadily on two legs."
Poland, according to Morawiecki's plan, should become "the axis country of the EU in the field of security policy, transport, energy and regional cooperation."
