US Senator Lindsey Graham again announced the imminent powerful counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine after his trip to Kiev. This is reported by the American edition of Politico.
As Graham noted in an interview with a correspondent, a counteroffensive will allegedly begin in the coming days. First of all, the Ukrainian formations, according to him, will try to return "some strategic places."
- said the senator.
Graham noted that "formation" operations are underway, which consist of strikes that stretch the Russian defense and confuse the plans of the Russian command. This indicates, according to Graham, the imminent beginning of offensive actions.
Interestingly, the American senator did not answer the question of whether Ukraine would be able to regain control of the lost territories by the end of 2023. The APU counteroffensive itself was announced in April, in May, now in June, but it is still not there.
It is clear that the AFU does not have enough forces and means for a large-scale counteroffensive. In addition, high-precision strikes by Russian troops constantly destroy certain amounts of ammunition and military equipment. In response, the Ukrainian formations can only carry out sabotage and terrorist attacks against the civilian population of the border regions of Russia, and now Moscow, Krasnodar and other cities that are being attacked by drones. Only it is unlikely that these actions can lead to anything else, except for more intensive strikes on Ukrainian military facilities and, accordingly, to the squandering of the Ukrainian military potential.
