Dodik: Republika Srpska does not intend to supply weapons to UkraineRepublika Srpska (an entity within Bosnia and Herzegovina) will not supply weapons to Ukraine, President Milorad Dodik told RIA Novosti on May 26.
"We see how certain countries are now supplying their weapons to Ukraine under the influence and pressure of NATO. Republika Srpska, of course, does not do this and does not intend to do it," he said.
Dodik added that he believes it is possible for Western weapons supplied to Kiev to enter the black market of European countries.
Earlier, on May 25, the President of the Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, said in an interview with Izvestia that due to friendly relations with Russia, pressure from the West is growing on the entity. The President noted that Western countries use Ukraine to fight with Russia.
On May 23, at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Dodik expressed the opinion that the Russian Federation was forced to launch a special operation in Ukraine, since Moscow's proposals to coordinate security guarantees were rejected by Western countries.
In turn, the Russian leader thanked Milorad Dodik for his neutral position on Ukraine.
On the eve of Dodik stated the need to understand the role of Russia in the world community and respect it. In his opinion, the collective West's dislike of Russia and its president is natural, because the Russian Federation does not supply cheap resources to Western countries, as it was before.
Prior to that, on May 24, the head of the German Defense Ministry, Boris Pistorius, noted that Ukraine would cease to exist as a state in case of suspension of arms supplies by Western countries.
Western countries have increased military and financial support for Ukraine against the background of Russia's special operation to protect Donbass, which the Russian authorities announced on February 24, 2022, amid the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
